ESC not working to open menu

I just installed the automatic updater or whatever, for profitui reborn. After installing this I lost the esc key function for the menu, but have since reinstalled the ui and now my problem is different. The esc key works fine, but when i go into the auction house, and i am looking at an item to compare with one I already have, the comparison screen doesn't show. I can see the tooltip with the items information that Im looking at, but not what i already have.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

If you open your eq2.ini file do you see a line that says

escape_opens_start_menu true

or

escape_opens_start_menu 1

If so, change that to false or 0. When they changed the default they made the command work backward.

Comparison tooltips can be changed in the Options window under Options - User Interface - Tooltips. I have mine set to pop up only when I hold down CTRL.

I actually found that the command is not reversed anymore. At least for me.

Disabled:
escape_opens_start_menu false

Enabled:
escape_opens_start_menu true

Scratch that, I didn't fix the comparison problem (didnt mean to double post either - didn't realize it had ever updated. My apologies). The comparison tooltips are on, but they aren't working. Thats the problem, I've changed it numerous times to see if any of the other options would work, and they don't. I can't quite figure out what the issue is with that.
