going nuts

OK so the maintained window, as cool as it is to see how many charges are lof on my poisons has to go. I have to be able to see when certain things proc like my amazing reflezes aoe immunity, and I must know when my swipe is on. I cannot do this with the profit window because it is often hidden below the visable area and I can't take the time to sroll to it.
I have deleted the eq2ui_mainhud_maintained.xml file from the profit folder, I have attempted copying the default file into the profit folder, I have even tried to load in the optional maintained profit windows to see if they will work. But nothing I do will make the profit maintained window go away. I don't know how the heck it is still showing it when it isn't even in the ui folder. I have been at this for several hours. I have tried repatching eq2. Basically I have tried everything I can think of. I really like profit ui- but if I can't make the maintained window work for me I will have to go back to default entirely. Anyone have any advice on what to do here????

You shouldn't need to (in fact, I'm pretty sure it's a "no-no") copy any of the default files to your custom UI's folder. Anytime the game doesn't find a file for any of the windows in the custom UI folder, it automatically checks the default directory for the file it needs.

I know it's suppoesed to check the default for it - but it isn't. Nothing I do make the profit maintained window update in any way shape or form. Everything from deleting it (in the hopes it would check the default folder) to unzipping the optional maintained window into the profit ui folder. I tried pasting a copy of the default maintained window as a nother option to see if it would work. I'm not exactly sure what you are insinuating as it being a "no-no" but obviously you aren't able to give me any kind of useful advice on the actual problem./

Listen up there, ShadowProwler420 spent some of his valuable free time to give perfectly good advice. You met him with hostility, which I don't allow on my forums. Now you have completely stepped over the line, and you're damn right I'll call you out for it.
