Default harvest nodes on map

Hi all

In wow i used a great mod which would put little icons on the map, where harvest nodes were.

I would love that feature in EQ2

I'm pretty sure that would be considered an exploit, not to mention that we have no way to access or display that information (just like there's no way to access the dynamic location of a particular mob short of seeing its relative position to other mobs/NPCs/players in a scout's tracking window).

In a nutshell, it's not possible.

SOE is supposedly revamping there map...
Hopefully they will implement something like this in that release.

Otherwise the only way to do this is to perhaps add an overlay that would display the general area where the specific types of resources spawn.

There is a tinkered device that tracks harvesting nodes, with the same window that scouts use. I assume if you select one it would show an X on your map in the same way, but I've never used one.

I really wouldn't want harvest nodes on my map though. There are already too many unnecessary dots all over the place.
