Default MacroFlash Banner Issues

Recently, I've been getting errors with some of the MacroFlash Banners here and on Allakhazam's. When a page is loading it will suddenly freeze for about 45 secs then a popup error will appear stating that a MacroFlash 8 Script is causing my computer to run slowing and that it may cause my system to become unresponsive. It then asks if I want to cancel the script or not.

This has only started happening within the past couple of weeks and I believe that it's only with a select few banners (if not just 1 banner in particular).

Is there anyway that this could be looked into? My only option at this point is to disable Flash but I don't really want to do that.

Thank you for any insight into this matter.

EDIT: I've spent a good amount of time refreshing this site and it appears that the problem is an isolated issue with only 1 specific banner. It's the banner that resembles Break Out.

I'll try to pay closer attention when it happens again so that I can report the actual Banner Ad and the error message as well.

I know that this is how they recover some of the money they pay out, and I don't begrudge them that. I do love this site. However, I find banners as a whole disagreeable, so thusly do I direct you to check this out: Block Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File ... if you can see the address of the specific ad that is causing you grief, you could just add that one to your hosts file.

As a side note, I have the entire hosts file from that link included in my system, and I see very few ads while surfing any site.

Ummmm.....have you tried Firefox and its Adblock Plus add-on?

It works like a charm for me!

I was going to start a new topic along lines of this, but seen this one and it is relative so here go's...

I am seeing banner ads about adult dating services etc etc ... now whilst that dont bother me personally, I would say we must have quite a few youngsters browsing this site also and I dont think that such advertising is very appropriate! .. Come on at least set the filters up so the ads are gaming related , computer related, or whatever.... dont get me wrong I am by no means a prude but on a gaming site where we have to watch our conduct and the use of foul language is forbidden I see those type of banner adds as a contradiction to the code of conduct.. and also of no use to any of us anyway.. I mean we all know where to look to see that crap, now its spilling over to here.....
