Default Unkown Error - again...

Hi there!

Two days ago i tried to update my EQ2 Maps and i got this error message:

Unknown Error: Microsoft.VisualBasic
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.DoubleType.Parse(String Value, NumberFormatInfo NumberFormat)
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.IntegerType.FromString(String Value)
at Microsoft.VisualBasic.CompilerServices.IntegerType.FromObject(Object Value)
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DownloadExtras()
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.DoUpdates()
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.Timer3_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr idEvent, IntPtr dwTime)Die in NumberFormatInfo angegebenen Währungstrennzeicheninformationen sind für die Analyse mehrdeutig.

Since the last line is partly in German i will try to translate it:
"The currency separator (or perhaps "currency divider") provided in NumberFormatInfo is ambiguous for analysis".

The correct error message is probably somewhat different in english, but i hope my translation helps to understand the problem.

I use EQ2 Maps for over a year now and had never any problems with it.
I already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall of eq2maps. Since i havent changed anything on my PC knowingly (except for the usual M$ updates), i havent the faintest idea to narrow down the problem any further.

I hope you can help me out on this

thanks in advance

Try going in windows and changing the currency separator from . to , perhaps (or the other way around if for some reason that's true).

I believe in german they're switched from English... Ie 1 thousand dollars and 57 cents in english is $1,000.57 but in german (and most european I think) is $1.000,57

It worked...Thanks a lot!

But i wonder why this "problem" occured from one day to another. As i wrote i used EQ2maps for over a year now without this issue.

No idea =/

All I can think of is maybe in some file somewhere that was updated, something involved a . or a , and that confuseded the English-written AUer since your settings were European, heh.

The person that created it (Taco) isn't around anymore I think, so I'm not sure who's maintaing it now.
