Error Reading EQ2.ini File

Forgive me if this is posted somewhere else...I scanned thru the FAQ's and 7 pages of messages here in Troubleshooting but did noit locate this error.

When launching EQ2Map Auto Updater (Version 1.0.6) I get the following error message:

Error Reading EQ2.ini File
System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path C;\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\eq2.ini is denied
atSystem.IO_Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str)
atSystem.IO.Filestream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Fileshare share, Int32 bufferSize,Boolean useAsync,String msgPAth, Boolean bFromProxy)
at System.IO.Filestream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode)
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.ReadEQ2.ini()

This error message started prior to the Expansion but not exactly sure when. I also did a uninstall/Repair on Net2.0 so I think that might be ok.

try making sure the eq2.ini file isn't set to read only and if your user account you log into doesn't have administrator privileges try running the updater with run as... as administrator or another user that has administrator privileges.

Thanks Taco-Man! That fixed the problem and the proggie updated everything!

No idea how the file got set to read only...I never mess with the files.
