Default Map Feature Zoom/Enlarge

Have to ask since I know alot of you are out their playing and with all the dots and circles it does get a little cluttered. Is their a way you can resize the Map window too show the most of the screen enlargeing the map for better viewing. Or can you make it so you can zoom in too the area better. I know many of you have done this with other games but is it possible too do the same thing here.

Thanks,

Sorry it can't be done. Parts of the map is hard coded and parts are not, do to that and the limitation of the script it just can't be done.

I wish the map was 1/4 the size it is currently. It takes up far too much realstate on the screen. It would be nice to have the map only show the quadrant you are in at the time. That way, it could be 1/4 th esize and take up far less space. If you needed to see the whole map, and look at it as it currently is ingame right now, you could click a tap that "expanded" the map to full view.

But really, I wish the map were smaller.

It'd be nice if you could zoom in/out similar to EQ1, and then use arrow keys to move it around (or the mouse).

is there anyway to make the entire window shrunken down? or is that what you meant by certain elements being hardcoded?

i wouldn't want anything else changed, just the entire window resized to half it's size or something like that. is that possible? (like how people make the inventory window 3/4th sized, i like that)

No, that's the entire problem.

You can't resize the map image, as then your player arrow and group member dots would be in the wrong places, and even off the side.

The only way to get what you want is if Sony adds it.

Well, in my mind you should be able to resize the main window, and just have it so the elments inside don't resize with it. So everything is still the same, same location, scale, ect... But, I haven't messed with it to see what happens.

The only problem with that is that you couldn't easily move the inside contents around. I'm sure you could probably make the main page "user movable" but then it could be accidently pushed off screen or something... but then you could also make a button to "reposition it"... Hmmm wow, ideas are just flowing in my mind. Arrow buttons to change page locations. I'll keep from rambling, and see what I can come up with maybe

Default Zoom Work Around

Eq2 Map Zooming / Magnification Work Around

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After looking for a mod that would allow zooming of EQ2 Map,,, it struck me!

Windows HAS a nifty Magification Tool in the Accessories/Accessibility Folder!

And it WORKS!

Magnification level is adjustable, as well as magnification window level. Of course, it may not work if you run the game in Full Screen, but as I don't, WHOOT!!!

Hope this makes your questing a bit easier!

*Scratches his head*

Either I've read that pretty much exact thing before, or I just got some wicked deja vu.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.
