Possible to have windows off screen?

Hi

Just cusious if anyone has looked into the possibility of putting the map screen or any other window of the game onto a 2nd monitor?

Anyone let me know

This topic has come up before....

Can't remember what it was called, but it was concerning using EQ on one monitor, and then putting a blank screen with all the UI stuff on the other computer.

IIRC, the end agreement was that it could not be done to make it so you "split" the game into two monitors. However, it said something about you could stack your monitors, then put your windows on top or something. I can't remember exactly (could do a search, might be able to find it), but if it is possible, it's not as simple as it should be. Damn that lack of /viewport... Anyone willing to take Bobble hostage until we get our /viewport back?

That old idea didn't actually work - I tried it once

It gave me a framerate of about 1 frame every 2 seconds.

i have a 21" dvi monitor and a 17 inch vga
that what i want to do is put all the window on the 17 inch...
and the game on the 21 inch..

There is an option for allowing windows off screen

It does allow them off screen but it doesn't put them anywhere. It just stops displaying them.

Yeah, I've played around with this as much as I could. Man would it make life great!

I was able to get them to display on the other monitor, but like Magus it cut my frame rate way down (at least half). Every month or so I start to think that I did something wrong, and there has to be a way - so I try again. No luck yet
