Default How could we improve the website?

Please note that this is only for the http://maps.eq2interface.com website.

I haven't been updating the website much lately mainly because I've run out of things to do. What can we do to it that will help you better do what you need to?

Default Re: Website Improvements

A couple of ideas
  1. Make the zone select widget on the left hand be scrolled to the zone for the POI you are looking at, so that we need only click the GO button to see the map of the zone.
  2. Display the map of the zone with the current POI highlighted somehow when we click on a POI. Often I just want to know where this POI is in the map, and I have to copy and past the location into the "Show Location" field to find out. Or maybe have a separate link for each POI to a "Show Location" page.
  3. Have the zone name links point to the map of the zone, instead of the list of POIs in the zone, or just have a link from one to the other on those pages.

I dont think I quite get this one...are you talking about on this page: http://maps.eq2interface.com/showpoi.php?id=16853
where the zone is listed? Click on that zone link and see if thats what you're meaning to link to and link to it from where?

Yes, if you click on the name of the zone, it takes you to the list of POIs in the zone, but how do you get to the map of the zone? So if I started by clicking on a POI from the "Recently Submitted POIs" list, and clicked on the zone name in the details of the POI, how could I get to a page where I could see the map of the zone?

Aha, It is actually supposed to link to the map, I havent noticed this because there is a distinction between the normal user and admin code to put out that link. The admin code is right, user code is not. Going to update that right now.

#3 is done. I'll work on the others when I get a chance again.
