Default Map Updater Can't Find .exe

I clicked the reinstall from the website and now the map updater will not let me find the .exe file anyway to get it to work or do i have to go download the old .exe file?

EverQuest2.exe will be present no matter what updater you are using. If it's not finding it, be sure to run it as an admin.

If it's not finding EQ2.exe, you may have to select Launcher.exe if you are using the newer patcher.

The path to Launcher.exe (assuming that is the EQ2 install you're using) should be the same as the path to Everquest2.exe. You can check that by opening the launcher and going to options.

What's quite common is for folks to have multiple EQ2 installs... and the map updater ends up updating into the one you're not actively playing from. Another easy way to check is to actually navigate to location of the EQ2 install you're playing and check to see if there's an EverQuest II/UI/EQ2MAP folder. If there's not, then your paths are set wrong.
