HELP, I have tried everything. I deleted or uninstalled ALL previous UIs and then ran the patcher and went into game to play on the Default UI since the Update 53 went live today. But, now I have a little box that appears in the upper right corner under the quest journal (can only be seen if F=10 is hit twice) that can NOT be right clicked or moved. There is not even a tool-tip as to what the window is. Any help on how to fix this would be GREATLY appreciated. ~Good Journeys~ Xant
To me it kinda sounds like the eq2ui_mainhud_downloading.xml they added, but I could be wrong.
I'm not even sure what this window is exactly for, since it wasn't mentioned in the notes. However, I know in the EQ2 patcher you can choose to download patch files while you play (I think that's how it works), and I'm guessing this window is to show the progress of downloading files.
You could try copying over the eq2ui_mainhud_downloading.xml from the Default ui folder, and modifying it.
The downloading window will be used when they release the new, streaming patch system (where the initial EQ2 download will be <100MB and the rest will be streamed on a Just-in-Time basis).
And that is most likely what you are seeing. You likely have a custom eq2ui_mainhud which is not including the file: if it was, you'd see a little walking dragon there.
As for it showing up in the first place, the only thing I've seen on the matter from Rothgar was it might have to do with customized gamedata files.
Thanks for the info guys, I do mess a little with the modding and thought, "What have I done now?". Appreciate the quick responses and providing me the relief of knowing I didn't exactly mess something up....Good Journeys!
