Issue trying to drag from inventory

I have been experiencing a problem trying to drag an item from inventory onto hotbar and/or appearance slots. Left mouse click automatically equips the item if it is equipable. I have tried resetting all mouse options and also putting all options back to default. Nothing helps. Anyone else having problems with this or any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If all settings are back to default maybe check if your mouse does doubleclicks by itself. Either by some driver settings or by a broken micro switch under the mouse button.

Changed my mouse and...voila!! Thanks so much Never thought it would be a mouse problem ...duh
