Default Win 7 Issue

My setup has worked fine until I tried to use ACT. I then discovered that there was an issue with Win 7 & Vista regarding storing log files. You need to run eq2 as administrator for log files to work correctly. No problem , I changed executable to run as administrator and now all of my configurable ProfitUI stuff has gone!

This includes uisettings, login settings, etc.

Is there a way I can use all the ProfitUI goodness and still run as administrator?

Most things eq2 related should be run with administrator privileges in Vista/7. You should still be able to run your UI just fine though. I'm running Win7 64-bit RC here.

Are you running something in compatibility mode, or did you change any other setttings?

If you were running w/o admin privilege, all you ini files might be the documents folders... might have to move them.

Or you could just turn off UAC and not be bothered with it. It's there to protect people from themselves if they don't know what they're doing but it gets in the way for others.
