So with the changes coming to the UI in the coming GU, will profit update its files as well? If so is it possible to update profit color scheme and remove outdated files as well?

Yes it will be updated.
You can already change the color scheme of profit and have been able to for years.
What unnecessary components need removing?

I wanted to checkout Profit UI but on test only. Will it work on test?

If I have never had Profit UI on my system what file do I download? What is the file name?

I noticed that alot of stuff is changing and they are removing things from the default UI that they say are no longer needed, just wanted to see if profit was doing the same thing. I was under the impression that the color scheme's were not supported as I recall the last time I used it after an update everything wasn't working again until I removed it and just used the default colors.

You would use the profitui autoupdater. However it has not been patched for test yet. I am still testing a couple of things.
