Default Necrotic Flashpot

I've been trying to set this up...I've managed to get it to partially work... it still requires you to target the raid member in order for the item to be used....

<Data Name="Button3" Macro="use_itemvdl -661875382 Parent.Target" Tooltip="Necrotic Flashpot"/>

I'm a noob at this and I'm unsure on how to get it to where you don't have to target a player manually in order for it to work....Maybe this is not possible when it comes to using items on players? Any help on this would be much appreciated.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but there is no useitemonplayer like useabilityonplayer. use_itemvdl uses the item on your current target. You could always make it target player, then use item, then target previous. That would give you the effect you want but you would briefly change targets. I also understand that if you are already targetting the person you want to use it on then it will still fire the commands and target your previous target causing you to lose your intended target in that instance.

Don't think so, was using the target_previous trick long enough without this ever happening as far as I was aware. If you are already targeting x, then /target x, both your current and your previous targets are x.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

It used to work that way, but a GU or so ago they 'fixed' it so that target_previous gives you a distinct previous target (meaning it will always be different; changing to the same target is ignored for the purposes of target_previous now).

Thanks for the responses everyone....I'll just settle with what I'm using currently.....since there is no useitemonplayer or something similar to make it work the way I would like....
