Auto Attack Bar
It stalls randomly at the end of the bar and comes to a complete halt for a few seconds and has to catch up to the next attack to start its cycle again. It may be fine for a few swings but then it stalls again and misses an attack. It just randomly started happening last night. Ive since updated to the newest version of Profit but it is still glitchy. The auto attack bar was working perfect and Im not sure what happened. I didnt change any settings but I may have inadvertently hit something and am just not realizing it. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks.

Your skill-ups at max? Like slashing/piercing/crushing, whatever weapon you're using? When you miss an attack, that bar won't do anything till your next attack comes around.

Yeah and I run boon, rhythm blade and have + s/c/p gear on so im good. Id have to log in to get the exact stats. I can see hits landing in the combat log but they aren't cycling the auto attack bar. I toggled it on and off in the UI settings and had it working well for a good 3 hours in Fens the other day, logged in this morning and it was doing it again in Scion. Thats good information to know for raid mobs though, although it really should just keep cycling imo, otherwise your timing is thrown off.

Does not work that way due to dynamic data.

Well I was just practicing on a training dummy and its getting hung up if i hit a CA at the end of the bar before an auto attack. Also sometimes just randomly stops cycling. slashing is at 497. any advice is appreciated.

CAs and spells delay your auto attack if you cast before a swing (the attempted hit will go off after you're casting ends). misses and things like double attack will make it appear to be "stuck".
Beyond that, the dynamic data only gives the UI so much to work with.

That is the whole reason for the Auto Attack Bar in the first place....to allow you to more easily time your spells and CAs so they don't hold up your auto attacks.
See, when you cast a spell or a CA at near the same time an auto attack delay is up, the auto attack won't fire off until you are done casting the spell or CA. That's why you have the bar, so you can time your spells and CAs so that you aren't still casting when it's time for your next auto attack to fire off. You need to learn to time your spells/CAs so that they aren't still casting when it's time for an auto attack b/c if you are, your next auto attack will be delayed, lowering your dps.

It's simply a bug with dynamic data, as it's been an issue with me as well, one I don't think some of those commenting don't understand. When you miss with an attack, the auto-attack timer doesn't start refreshing properly til you successfully hit. This concern probably needs to be brought to the attention of Rothgar by head developers here and multiple, thoughtful min-maxing players.

Hi guys not sure if this is the right place. But ive been using the auto attack bar for some time now with my monk who's dual wielding.
Now at the start it worked as i expected it and also noticed the above but as specified that is the mechanics when your delaying your attack when you use your CA. However as said i was dual wielding and it properly showed two auto attack bars even when i switched from ranged ... however a few days ago it suddenly only shows one auto attack bar even though i'm using the same weapons (two imbued batons lvl 22 and since yesterday lvl 32). My combat log shows im still using two weapons so that is working properly (i think), i've tried removing the auto attack and reinstalling it but no deal.
Funny thing is that if i switch one of my weapons for another one handed weapon it will properly show two weapons rather then just one ...
Anyone a suggestion what might be causing this ?

im actually having this same problem... but its caused by using a ca. if i just let it auto attack it works fine. but if i use a ca, it hangs at the end for what seems like the next auto attack. this started a bit over a week ago. i reloaded profit and its all there... just the auto attack bar is wonky now... was there an update i missed?

And you're sure it's not hanging at the end until the CA/Spell is done casting? I don't think everyone understands the mechanics behind the auto attacks in this game, I'm not saying you don't, just that not everyone does and that's the only reason I ask.
Just to clarify, your auto attacks will go off when the bar is full UNLESS you are casting/using a spell/CA, if you are then your next auto attack will not go off until that spell/CA is done casting. That's what the bar's is for, so you can time things to not delay your auto attacks, thereby increasing your overall dps.
