Exclamation EQ2Map Wont update maps since internet explorer is corrupted?

My Fire-fox/Netscape work fine but my IE is corrupted badso when I try to update, it doesn't and says it's offline?
How can I re-direct its internet to my Fire-fox persay? Since my updater is relying on my IE and my IE only?

not sure if they are even linked together. Not hard to repair IE though just go download ie8 then install (changed from the until) it and should uninstall 8 and reinstall 7 back on machine.

I am sure it uses MS WebBrowser control to display the news. I could be wrong I haven't see the code to it but that is the most common way to display web sites in your application.
