Default Already have a eq2.ini file for EQ2map

Following the installation instructions provided, I have downloaded and installed Profit. However I already have a file named eq2.ini so I named the new file eq2ui.ini and followed your instructions. When I log into the game I still have the default UI and have no options for a different UI.

What am I doing wrong?

Default

The file has to be named eq2.ini.
Edit it to point to ProfitUI.
If you like to use EQ2MAP to , all you need to do is install it in the same folder as ProfitUI.
If you use EQ2MAP Auto updater , open Options and select ProfitUI from the dropdown list. You dont have to edit your eq2.ini file as the updater takes care of it . Then all should work.
