Chat window is messed up

All of a sudden today, I can only functionally use half of my chat screen, meaning when I mouse past 1/2 of the screen, it goes opaque, I cant get to my guild chat, private tells etc. Only: Game, combat, spell, npc.

Any idea if reloading the 1280X1024 settings would work? And how would I do that?

sounds like some window is sitting on top of your chat window (probably the group window?). Move it or load the default settings via /load_uisettings or via the button on the control center.
