Horizontal Group Window Question

I used the updater to load the variant for a horizontal group window. I have a new healer character and want to try this out with this toon. How do you toggle this capabiliy on? I have gone to Window Setting and played with turning on and off the Title and Frame bar. I can't find any option and the group window is coming up vertical. I am sure I am missing something, but even mousing over the bottom left corner of the window is not helping. Any quick clue would be great....thanks folks

Make sure you double-clicked the variant you want in the updater. It needs to turn green (I know it's not completely intuitive, complain to Kaldran who programmed it

Is there any way to allow different characters on the same account to have different group windows? So for example, my healer have the vertical, where my dirge's would be vertical? I was hoping I could toggle between the views, but I am getting no option to do so. It appears to be an all or nothing setup. If there is a way to toggle, please point me to the right post and I will do so.

Currently that's not possible in game.
