Journal Divider bar

How do I change the default location of the divider bar in the journal? Or perhaps a better question would be... can I?

As it is, I must adjust it after each login. It stays for the duration of my session when I set it where I like, but I would rather not have to reposition it every time I start playing.

Yah this annoys me too, but SOE doesn't save the splitter settings and by default I need to set its possition to something reasonable for small screens.

Unfortunetly editing the settings is fairly complicated since there are 3 tabs with a splitter, each splliter also affects the size and possition of 2 page containers, and each of those pages affects the size and possition of several elements inside it.

If you're going to mess with this, I strongly suggest you use UIBuilder. Instructions for getting started with UIBuilder can be found in the FAQ of this site (not the Fetish FAQ).

Well, here is my attempt.

It works for me, if someone wants to try it and see if it works for them I would appreciate it.

I believe I've grabbed the correct file, but its not like UIBuilder is exactly straightforward about this kind of stuff.

I've always wanted the splitter to be positions directly in the middle of the window as that's where I always end up moving it for each of the 3 tabs every time I play.

I'll try the changed file once I get all my other files updated for GU42 and let you know how it works for me.

Zonx, maybe something for you to consider would be to include an optional variation with the splitter in the middle? Maybe?

Better yet would be to get the UI devs to make it so the splitter always remembers it's position as that would be the ultimate solution for everyone. I think they would listen to you as they have in the past about such matters. Just a thought mind you.
