Run it again, if it happens again then reply back, if it doesn't, it's just the updater being flakey.

As the error message says, one file could not be accessed. You either have eq2 still running or another instance of the updater. Close everything down (or restart your computer to be sure) and then run the updater again.

If it does not work, you likely installed it incorrectly. Always try a clean install before reporting bugs.

I keep getting this error message when I try and launch the updater:

Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927f26e), which when I click "ok" is followed by:

EQ2Map_Updater.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.

Process id=0x5cc (1484), Thread id=0x220 (544).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to debug the application.

When I click ok, it ends it all. When I click on cancel to debug, I get:

EQ2MAP_Updater.exe - No debugger found.

Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings.

cordbg.exe !a 0x5cc

Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually.
Click on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request.

I have the frameworks for .net 1.1, the 1.1 hotfix, and also 2.0. I've uninstalled all applications and reinstalled them, rebooted my computer many times, and I still get the same message. Is there anything else I might be able to do? I'm no computer genius, and I don't know what all the different error messages mean, which is why I posted them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
