Default help installing eq2maps

i downloaded the eq2 maps, and after installing it and getting all the updates as the program opens...i log into the game and push map button, but theres no eq2 map icons, everything is still default,

what am i doiing wrong?

can somebody tell me exactly where i need to install this to, to what folder

also noticed , could be the problem....in the updater options its saying the ui directory is called eq2maps .....is that right? i thought it was supppose to be defaut, and if so i dont know how to change it to default

Have you made the EQ2.ini file point it to eq2maps ?

I think eq2maps is default.

You need one to tell eq2 to look for a custom UI.

Add those lines to your eq2.ini file if they are not there allready

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

Where EQ2MAP is the directory containing the eq2map files.
Change the name if you need to.
