I love ProfitUI but....

I cannot get this to install. I have tried at least 5 times.

My ini is correct, my region settings are correct etc etc.

I can load Fetish, Thor, EQ2map everthing but I cannot get profit to work.

The only thing I can think of is that because I am running Vista 32bit and the way Vista treats EQ2 program files I have loaded eq2 in to c:/games/sony/everquest2

I dont know if this path is messing it up or not. Currently running Fetish cause it would load but would really like to continue to use Profit.

Anyone have any idea?

Ok I was just reading that deleating the MarketWindow might help maybe ill try that later.

Just as a heads up to those trouble shooting...

I am running Window's Vista 32 Bit (64 Bit is still, and probably will be for the near future, too unstable) with a nice clean EQ2 installation and have profit running just fine.

So, I'd hasten to add that whatever problems you're having aren't window's related at least.

running Vista 64 bit Ultimate here and no issues. Running EQ2 of of my raid drive so its location is d:\games\sony\everquest II\. Everything runs just fine.
Once you get in game have you tried loading one of the generic settings files?

Are you guys running 3.3 or 3.2?

I am going to try 3.2 when I get home and see if that works.

What generic setting ;p?

running 3.3 here. Generic load_uisettings for whatever resolution you are using. they are included in the zip file

Also try deleting your entire UI folder, restarting EQ2 and let it patch/repair itself. Then download ProfitUI and follow the instructions to a T, it will work!

Just for the record I'm running Vista Business 32bit with EQ2 installed in the default C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II folder and I've been using just about every previous version of Profit since Vista was released with no problems.

I don't have UAC or anything disabled either, so I get UAC prompts when I overwrite any of the UI folder stuff, etc.
