Default FPS Add-On

I am currently using the Laffs Lite UI and i am loving it.
I have searched over these forums and downloads and I must be missing something (if it is out there) an add-on that shows the FPS so I know to tweak my graphics a bit to get the best FSP while I am playing.

Thank you

The only thing that the authors who create the mods/UIs here can do is to modify how the information SOE sends us is shown. And since SOE doesn't send us any info regarding FPS, it wouldn't be possible to create what you are looking for.

The best you could get would to be running something like FRAPS in the background.

EDIT: After posting this, I found this thread that appears to have some sort of FPS monitoring capability. I'm not sure of the legality of it (whether or not it is against the EULA), as I haven't really kept tabs on it. However, as people appear to have been testing it out for the better part of a year, it doesn't look like SOE has any beefs with it.

From what I know, EQ2EXT only uses SOE's XML and as such cannot viloate the EULA =)

That window was just a proof of concept and not meant for general use (hence why it's never been uploaded). The 30 fps limit for the UI (regardless of actual frames per second, the HUD only updates a max of 30 times) seems to be hard coded into the EQ client and impossible to pass.

If you want to see your FPS, use fraps. It's much less headache for the same result.
