Kine, you should entirely remove your old ProfitUI folder (located in the Everquest 2\UI\ folder) before installing the 3.x release (extract into your Everquest 2\ folder as always).

You can keep your UI settings but will likely need to adjust your hotbar sizes.

Don't forget to reinstall the persona window background images if you do not want to have a white background in the persona window. And you will need to redownload EQ2Map (you can backup the eq2map folders manually but it is probably not worth the hassle).

If that doesn't help maybe post a screenshot of what your hybrid looks like?

Hello,

I am using the Profit Reborn UI. I am having trouble with a couple things and if anyone could give me some information or some tips it would be most helpful!

I can't seem to move the casting bar. I can unlock the window. Once I hover my cursor over the casting bar the arrow icon will change to the move icon or resize icon. When I click to move or resize, it only pans my camera instead of moving the bar. Is there a trick to moving this bar? It's blocking my hot bars and when it pops up, I can't click the buttons on my hot bar that reside behind it.

I am also unable to move the 'spell affects' bar that is default to the lower right corner. Same idea, it just pans my camera. Oh and I lost my 'self' (your buffs spells you have active) spell affects window. How do I bring that back?

Hi.
I searched around and try to use the search feature but i couldn't find what i was looking for.

Here's my problem.
I can't hide the player window (the one with the target and implied target) and make it stay hidden.
There's already one at the top so i don't need the small one.
I go into the Control Center et uncheck the box, but whenever i restart the game it'll show up again.
I tried the /save_uisettings, didn't work (unless you have to specify something after the command).

Other than that great UI, thanks to the authors

Not sure if this has been brought up before and didnt see any posts about it but 2 things for me:

1. When first logging in I get the old "cash" sound from when coin went to your INV for sales

2. When ever I bring up any window I get a loud "clunk" sound.

just want to say this is great ui i had and been using for a while now....

i just have one wish i my wish list

can ya do an up grade on the info center to list all know info on (new hq's languages, and quest series) because im tired of going to crap as ogaming and other sites for info that is wrong, outdated or just a pain in the ___ to find...

Degolas, extract the _Player Window disable.zip in your ProfitUI folder to permanently disable the player window.

jonathn2875, I think there is something in the options to control the interface sounds.

thrdeye, the InfoCenter is not my work, that is the Milquetowst Infocenter from DBurgdorf which I include in the ProfitUI distribution (it is already perfect, so why reinvent the wheel?

). Head over to Darryl's forum thread and give him a nod and maybe provide some information which you think is missing.

GM9, Awesome Interface I love it very much very easy to work with and great graphics, EXCELLENT WORK thank you for you time in creating it.

Sorry for a complaint though, well a bug really. I seem to be having trouble with my bags. Every so oftem I move something and a bag just dissapears, well the visible contents do anyway. I just have to resize the area to "See" things again. Also there seems to be a huge area of dead space on them. If I missed a post and fix on this I apologize, I trolled some looking for input on this.

First off - Excelent work, This is an absaloutely fantastic mod and a wonderful demonstration of useing the interface to its maximum potential, i envy your patience and dedication after creating a somewhat popular set of mods for eqlive i apreaciate how hard it is to maintain thease things.
i have onlyone request, i could not see it asked but then i have only read about 10 or so pages of the 74 already in this thread. Is it possible to add to the hotbar the charges/quantity number that is present on teh default ui please it's the only thing i miss now

Volizden, are you sure you are using my bags? My bags are neither resizable nor do they have any dead space.

Mafoo, that's already implemented. Check the sticky FAQ post in my forums for an explanation of all hotbar options.

I had a look at what you suggested, but i think i must be being thick.
On the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
the only refernece i can see is talking about turning on and off the hotkey buttons and background grid or turning on and off teh spinner, i am after the number that would display howmanyof somethign you have in your inventory or number of charges (as displayed on an item in your inventory)
My apologies if i have over looked something

My bad, apparently I had forgotten to put that part in the FAQ.

Fixed that. The point is that hiding the shortcut keys also hides the remaining charges display. That cannot currently be helped. So use a mode that does not hide the shortcut keys to see the charges.

and if you do not use the short cut keys you can un-assign them in the key bindings within options and the short cuts will disappear leaving just the charges. Also, I think if you put things in the 4th, 5th 6th, etc hotbar, because they do not have any shortcuts associated you can have text set as on to see charges without any shortcuts getting in the way

I am not sure if anyone else has seen this happening so I thought I would post here to check. My husband and I both use this UI and we love it btw, but since the EoF update the exp % seems to have gone a bit crazy. We are used to it being somewhat off like hitting 101% before you actually level but since the last update with SOE it has gone off track by close to 5% at times.

For example I was crafting today and my exp % was at 89.7% then I completed an item and it dropped to 83.9%

This is happening on combat exp as well since the recent LU - its something we can live with, but it can be confusing.

Just wondering if this is something to do with a change since LU29. I have also checked and downloaded all your current files. Thanks again for all the work you did on your UI it has been my favorite of all that I have used

I tried to read through this thread to find my answer but really couldn't manageably do so. I’m experiencing a problem with the Buy Stack / Buy Quantity feature and have posted on the EQ2 boards about it. Just figured that someone here might have some insight. Anyways here's part of what I posted over there:

i am newbee i've installed this mod v2.8 worked fine but in this new version (3.0.2) in the window(Heroy chooser) there is no text and butons(how to begin)
I'm using RUssian Client and there automat login are not accepteble!

Is anyone else experiencing problems with friends lists. Every now and then my ignore list adds some-one i've just sent private tells too, or randomly picks some-one from my 'all always chat here' window, which is set to guild chat. Very annoying as I have to peridically check that a friend is not in iggy list, especially as most people i speak with are in my guild. Serveral times now iggy list has grown, oh and sometimes when i start EQ2, that chat window doesn't appear at all till I hit enter or / keys. Any suggestions anyone on what may be causing this annoying fault?

The ignore list is user error, you mistakenly clicked on "Ignore" on the context menu that appears when clicking a player's name in chat instead of "Send tell", which is right above.

The hidden chat window thing is a bug by SOE, happens with all UIs. Deleting your uisettings.ini might help, not sure, but it's probably not worth it just for that. I'm recently seeing this on one of my chars as well, so I'll see if I can find a workaround for this problem.

So I clicked on the clock and I got this timer looking window thing where it shows like a timer for tradeskill etc how exactly do I use that thing and what is it best used for ? Been using Profit reborn 2 for while now never knew it was there is there somewhere it will explain what it is and how to use it ?

Okay, I installed the UI followed the instructions loaded up the game and the only things that change are the Chat window and hot bars.

However, if i go to the ProfitUI folder and add .ini to the "eq2ui" and reload eq, everything changes.. or it tries too i get an error about my targeting windows etc, says they are out dated or whatever.

Any Suggestions??

hey GM, I've come up with something and I think it could be a big help for a lot of folks. I'm a melee class and often dont position myself right (or when pulling the mob moves funny). The result can be either the "move closer" warning or the "can't see" warning. To help myself I just decided to put a chat window pullout on my screen with just the warnings visible. Now I'm having trouble getting the window to disappear. I'd like for it to go away after the fight or at least some time. As it is, it won't no matter what settings I use unless I clear the text. This can be annoying. But I want thinking, any way you could code an indicator that would flash whenever that text came up? I bet it would make melee classes very happy.
