i am wandering if a drop down window could be put into the map window with the POI's and other info in it to let ou select what you want then it puts the dot on the map ?

There should be a button in the upper right or left corner of the map frame that does this.

I think the thought was for a dropdown list with ALL POIs in it so that you could quickly see and select a particular one without searching the map for it. I suppose it's do-able, but some of those lists would be increadibly huge. Maybe if the list filtered along with the POI icons it would be more manageable...

Ahhh....like a filter for each individual icon? OK

Wasn't sure if that was the case or not, so I flipped a coin and settled for the one that was already there

Yes, something like that is in the works, just kind of on the back burner ATM as I for one am sort on free time to work on it. With the changes coming in LU 29 and the coming release of EoF, it pushes it back even more.
