I'm using the Market Windo only mod. I added the line to eq2ui.xml to include _ProfitUI_Styles.xml but everytime EQ2 starts up it deletes that line from the file!

The window does work except that it doesn't show the seller name or amount of coin you have.

You need to add that line to eq2ui.xml in your CustomUI folder. Everything you edit in the Default folder will be overwritten by the game.

Wondering if anyone had any suggestion on a fix. Did a clean install of the UI, running 1024x768.ini and anytime I target a NPC the screen starts to flicker and break up. Esc off the target or switch to a player character and it clears up. Really has me stumped as I've tried with multiple resolutions and configurations.

Also, great UI, love the features and work put into it, if I can just figure out how to get rid of the NPC flicker

Hello, I have been now using your UI for such a long time and I absolutely adore it. It is totally organized and I couldnt imagine playing without it....

I was wondering if perhaps in the Profit UI skin pack, you could add some feminine colors?? I would like a bunch of different pinks and purples to pick from for the backdrop colours, there is only very manly colors right now and 1 color that sort of resembles lavendar / pink but its sorta icky ;/

If you could please consider this that would be awesome

saltgurl sure, no problem, I'll try to do something pink. If you post a color sample you'll even get a complete skin like that with the next release (I have it set up so that I can easily turn out a new skin color at the press of a button, hehe).

Krawl, no idea, you sure it's related to ProfitUI?

Tried a few other UI's including default and I can't reproduce it other than with Profit. Which sucks because I like Profit out of all of them hands down. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Not too many ideas, no.

maybe try to delete the target and implied target windows from your ProfitUI folder and see if that helps (files are eq2ui_mainhud_target.xml and impliedtarget.xml).

Took both of those out and works without a hitch now. Curious to know what was causing the conflict in those two files.

When you said it flickered when targeting NPCs, did that include mobs or only NPCs proper (white names, not attackable)?

oh and since i installed profit, i crash in Sanctum of Scaleborn like every 20 min, any ideas why?

I hope Im posting this in the right place. First I want to say I LOVE this UI!!!

But as a templar I find myself grouping with pet carrying people.

Is it possible to have the group members pets show up in the group window so it would be easy for a healer to just watch all party members and their pets and click whose ever pet to throw a heal?

Any white named NPCs would cause it, did not get a chance to try on attackable mobs.

Doesn't crash, just causes flickering and tearing of the screen and will also not open any windows (ie. vendor windows)

Doesn't crash the client, and when you ESC off the target, it stops the flickering

* Does it also crash if you open the broker window via the control center, i.e. while you are not at a broker?

Nope, can open all windows when not targeted on an NPC (banker, broker, merchant, etc)

Sorry for asking, but after searching the forums and this tread I am still lost on this question.

What is the exact procedure to enable the quick logon and logoff of toons without going though the select screen. I am unclear what file to change and when I find said file what to change it to.

I know this answer is probably the only place I have not looked, but figured I would ask... Thanks

I can tell ya that my solution was removing the Profit UI market board and substitituting it with another custom UI market board... which really sucks cause I like the Profit one much better. As a side note also, I've had at least 10 fellow peeps with this UI that have had same exact problem.

ok... I'm using version 2.8.2,

i'm in the standard 1280x1024 setting,

The eighth hotbutton on both of the lower right hotbars is non functional, I can drop abilities into those slots, but once the abilities are there I can not pick them up, nor can I use them.

Initially, when I first loaded the ui, the buttons appeared brownish in colour, and the mouseover text was "The ability for players to wear cloaks will be added in Echos of Faydwer"

Bizzarre no?

Edit: (I managed to get it fixed, although i'm not entirely sure how)

HerpHandler, exactly the right place for your post.

Unfortunately it is not possible to display pet health in group or raid windows.

Krawl, please check whether it also flickers on attackable mobs. If it is only white named NPCs, I may have an idea. Thanks for answering all those questions btw, but they were meant for BigJim187, and that's why they did not make much sense to you.

x82nd, you can enter your logon information into the file _ProfitUI_LoginData.xml by editing it with any text editor (windows editor/notepad works fine). You will find a sample line in there that you need to copy for each of your characters (edit the uppercase info in there, nothing else).

oceeye, can't fix it if you don't let me know about it, can I? Would you mind answering the questions I posed to BigJim187 below? Might help me find out where the problem lies, because I have never personally seen a crash so far.

Jhansen1, SOE broke something with that cloak button substitute, many people had problems with those in all kinds of UIs. Had some trouble with one of them as well.

Jhansen, I found this problem too, but only on two characters, and I found a way to fix it...was a pita, but it works. Make a newhotbar. Resize it to the one with the problem, make it your main secondary whatever...scroll it to the right # and close the old hotbar. Done. When you make a NEW hotbar, it generally doesnt come back (ie: it doesnt reuse the closed one) at least not to me, not yet.

no, just opened it and tried to search sth with empty search bar

i play on an english server, but i have the german version of the game, so my install isnt in /eq2/ but in /eq2/lp_en but im not sure if thats an issue

Ok, quick question...

On my wife's defiler, the stat bar on the bottom of the screen disappeared. It's the one with the INT, WIS...and the resist information. We checked the Profit UI box that's on the Startbox, and it says that it should be there but it isn't.

I have even re-downloaded and loaded the UI but it isn't showing up. The funny thing is that it is on every other toon on the acct, just not her main...

Anyways...just looking for some help...

I have the same problem from time to time. Find your UI settings file for the character and delete it. Its in your Everquest2 directory and looks somewhat like this : <server name>_<char name>_eq2_uisettings. When you log back on you may have to set all your windows, chat, etc. but you will have your bottom bar back.

I usually import UI settings from another existing character. I have quite a few alts so it works perfectly for me.

I have no idea what causes the bar to disappear but it usually happens if i play in the window mode rather then full screen.

Instead of deleting the entire ini file (which means you have to reposition everything again) you could try using /show_window to pop the window up (I don't know what it's name is). If the window as called MainHUD.Statbar you would type /show_window MainHUD.Statbar
