be there done that
I know that this probally a really old question and i have seen the fixes for it before, but i had to reinstall eq2 and i downloaded a new ui and i did the ini file thing with server name and toon name in it. But when i load the toon up.. it's all over the place. Am i missing something

Was it a backup file you're trying to load or a file you created?

it was the rivut ui i was tryin to load and i thought i did everything right

The char/server/eq2ui.ini file will only work if one is provided with the UI initially. Otherwise you have to position everything yourself and then load it for diff chars using /load_uisettings in game.
