Equipment Changer?
Hey again, I know I just posted a request but I have another one. Since it's a completely diffrent subject I just made a new thread.
I had an addon in WoW that you could make these custom equipment profiles that would equip a certain set of equipment when you clicked a button. For example, I'm a Warden. When I'm soloing I want all my int gear on. The way it is now, I have to fish through my backpack for the int gear and replace the wis/sta gear. It would be easier if I could just click a button and have the addon put on the set that was specified. It's very tedious to do... this one is possible right?

Best that you can do, so far as I know, is to drag each piece of gear to a hotbar from your inventory. There's no way to macro equipping multiple pieces of gear that works 100%.

A little more info on this...
There is no /equip itemname command AFAIK, so we can't macro that way.
It is possible to equip from a specific bag/slot but that's unreliable since what slot an item is in is likely to change after unequiping and looting stuff.
It might be possible to setup a combo hotbar and macro that would swap several items on a hotbar at once but I don't know off the top of my head what (if any) slash command activates a specific hotkey.

No, that part about equiping a specific item in a specific slot is good. Thats how it was in WoW, it was specified which slot the item was in, and when you were done with that set, it would put it back in a specifed slot. I could just deicated a bag to my gear. It wouldnt be a complicated macro, I know how to do it in WoW, but this is eq2 and it's hard to study a whole new set of scripting functions. If I use the last bag for the gear, it should work if i keep my inventory nice and clean which I normally do.

when you unequip an item they will be placed in the first free slot of your bag. so you'd need to rearrange your inventory everytime you used the "equipment changer".

That's true when you unequip an item, but when you equip a first item into an equipment slot that holds already a second item, the second item should automatically be moved to the bag slot that previously held the first item.

yea i guess its not going to work very good then, especially if you have more than two diffrent profile (ie paladins could have a tanking, healing, and DPS profiles).
oh well, thanks for your time :\

I would LOVE to have this---I have a LOT of clicky items---over 2 hotbars FULL of them---and would really like to save space if I could by doing this.

Eq1?
I think this is a great idea. Didn't they have something similar in EQ1? It's been over a year since I've played EQ1, but I thought there was some kind of "auto-equipper" hotbar of some sort... I think it was only for weapons tho... Primary, Secondary, and Ranged slots... but hey, even that would be good for me

I have 3 full hotbars of clickies - one for items and equipment with click effects, and 2 for my main set of gear so I can keep track of what I've switched out such as resist gear. These hotbars area really small, 22 icon size, and in out of the way places so they don't take up much room.
