Findarato, this is a known issue. The code is completely identical. I didn't find out at the time why it's displayed displaced like that and how to fix it (nothing worked, including setting the location via a script). I just increased the vertical size of the implied target window for the time being. I'll have to take a look at this again. I'm streamlining the code for the target windows anyway. If you got an idea what is/might be wrong please let me know! Btw, thought you are using Vert, not ProfitUI.
MoonDeville, the Speedline is much worse to read at small sizes, so I'll keep the Arial font (or maybe another sans serif font) for the target name/level display. The slightly washed out look will go away if you turn off smooth fonts. My current version looks like this btw (left smooth fonts, right without smooth fonts):
On the other hand, I'll probably be rpelacing most of the fonts by bitmap versions anyway to counter the placement issues some people are having (just like I did with the XP font). Should also speed up things since it will ignore the smooth fonts setting (which causes a considerable performance hit). I might increase the font size a bit to increase readability.
Lanadad, thx for the feedback, will include the bar in the next version then. Let me know if there's anything else PvP specific that needs to be done.

Is the issue just with using the 2nd style of target, the one with the brackets and not the arrows? I love having the combination of the two myself.
Na I stoped using vert the 1st time I quit. I love your UI. When I was designing Vert I even stold the ideas for the progress bars . I love how its going though, the new guy who is working on Vert is doing a great job. I just wanted a full UI not just the parts that became vert. I love how Profit has the Top bar and the whole bottom area. Its very smooth and I personally love it.
I will take a nother look at the code, see if I can figure it out myself, but like I said every thing looks perfect. I am going to check it more, and had some thoughts about some changes, but your doing a perfect job with the UI.

Nevermind.. I figured it out :P
I just installed the latest vesrion of Profit last night.
Today, I added some additional chat tabs (e.g. group/pvt mssg, etc.) because the default UI had only two. Also, I added a hot bar b/c i needed an additioanl bar.
Now, I can't chat at all. I tried unlocking the window, adding/deleting tabs, moving the chat window, click through enabled/disabled but no matter what I do,
It won't let me chat, regardless of if I type / or backspace etc. Instead, it just pulls up whatever item the key is assigned to (e.g. i - inventory etc.)
Can someone tell me how I can try to fix this?

Exp trouble
Having an issue where the EXP part of the main window is seemingly over lapping and redrawing so as to be very difficult to read. Is this a common problem? Ive expanded and shrunk said window but its def something I can remedy. Thx

From what I can gather from your post, you have the classic problem where you didn't install the custom fonts correctly and is therefore resorting to default font which is why it isn't drawing the XP percentage correctly.
Go to your fonts directory in WINDOWS folder and manually drag fonts from Profit UI zip file to this folder, and it will install each font one by one.
If you meant another problem, then ignore above :P.

Ok two problems I have whilst I'm browsing...
Firstly, what's the shortcut key to display target and implied target spell effects below name? Currently, they don't show.
Secondly, every time I camp to a new character, I have to right click my chat window and select "always chat here" to get chart shortcut keys to work (e.g. "r" for reply, "/" to get the cursor in entry box etc). Is there any way to fix it at all?

Faedia, expect release date for v2.5 (including the new targeting windows) is around LU24. I hope to be on time. My internal version is already compatible with what's on the test server right now. Test doesn't have the complete LU24 yet, though...
Findarato, yes, the issue is only with con_version 1 (which is why I never noticed it until it was pointed out to me recently). I didn't spend a lot of time trying to find a workaround yet. All I did was increase the vertical size of the implied target window so the effects fit in. Which might be a starting point, since the default UI targeting windows do not reserve space for the effects, but they still show. Maybe something involving the min/max size settings.
Flash2Adv, you can right click the vertical bar with the maintained spells (there was a bug with 2.4, download 2.4.1 if you don't have it). I'll check whether right clicking the concentration bubbles works. If not, I'll add it.
AsheruneToD, in case you are talking about the xp bar on the top left, this is a known issue on some configurations and should be fixed in the next release. The solution Jimbobjeff85 kindly supplied was correct for very early versions of ProfitUI but does not apply anymore.
Jimbobjeff85, maybe you have target effects turned off? I think the ingame command is /show_target_effects 1. Your second problem is a problem SOE must fixed. I think it is related to a corrupt UI settings .ini file, so deleting that file and starting over should fix this. Having uncloseable empty chat windows is another of these problems.

copy the _ProfitStyles.xml and the files you want to use into your Custom directory,
edit the eq2ui.xml and include the line <include>_ProfitStyles.xml</include>
Copy also profit.tga into the images subdir.
The files for targeting are :
eq2ui_mainhud_target.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_impliedtarget.xml
To complete the top part you should also use :
eq2ui_mainhud_experience.xml
eq2ui_journals_active.xml
eq2ui_mainhud_compass.xml

Does that mean that you're still seeing in the latest version what Eloora reported ages ago here? I thought this was fixed for everyone and it's working fine so far for me.

BiteMeNot I think it may be that you need to set 'frame and title' to visible on the main chat window.
I experienced the same issue and couldn't type, once I did the above I saw " /gsay" sat there waiting for me to type
The mod looks great and I have everything set love-erly
Except... where are my MAPS? "M" is pulling an invisible window Go on, I know I'm just missing something hehe
--> Edit: I've now used EQ2Maps and all is well
Thanks for the mod, blooming cracking.

Maybe someone else can help, because I have never heard of this (and ProfitUI doesn't touch these damage displays, in case you were wondering). Maybe you're just lucky and get lots of critical hits?

Mini Zoning positioning
I just updated to the latest release. Good stuff in all of it, except the mini zoning window's positioning is messed up. I play in 1333x768 and after setting up the interface windows, the prior release would still put the zoning window in the middle.
With this one, the zoning window is shifted down and to the right. The best way I can describe this is on the prior release it seemed like it used releative positioning and on this one it's set to fixed positioning....it doesn't auto center. Can you show me where I can change this in the xml?

The reason is, i still use an older version of the exp-bar because i like the stats they show more then on the newer version
@Grimli2
That the criticals are now so small is a bug (or feature ..lol) since the last LU i think

lol Beldin, you could have stated that up front. I'm no psychic. Of course you won't get a fix from me for something that is already fixed in the latest release.
pravisdai, that's probably sloppy placement on my end - the next release will contain a fixed version.

I have some info related to the missing top left bar (xp bar) and the bottom bar (attribute/resist bar). From what I've seen on some tests I made, the problem is related to the black letterbox border size.
If you go to Options -> Display -> Widescreen Letterbox and start moving the "Black letterbox border size" bar to the left, you will see there is a point where the xp/attribute ui bars appear. If you start moving the bar to the right again the xp/attribue ui bars will disappear.
It looks to me that when all the xp/attribute ui bar window completely falls in the "black" area, then the it stops displaying.
Note: Keep in mind that the window that contains the ui bars is bigger than the bar itself, meaning that for example, the window that contains the upper left XP bar also contains the players HP/Power.

Just thought I'd point out that Inkar's Alcohol tolerance is 5/338, get this guy an IV of orc swill asap! lol j/k
Thanks you Spiricore and gm9 for your awsome effort and work to keep this great UI alive. Love the work you have done on it!
Here is a screenie ( see attached ) of my setup, its close to default just tweaked a tad for pet control. Also I have both smooth and small fonts enabled in game with no ill affects. The UI runs very well on my setup, no bugs to report on my end.
Got one little request not sure if possible but I'll ask anyways Is there any way to add the recast countdown timer to the icons in the hotbars? ( besides turning on the tooltip info for the hotbars, I think those popups take up too much space ) I know the icon changes when its ready to be used again but I like to use the recast timer to adjust what spell I will use next. If it can't be done no biggie.
Thanks again for your hard work.

Ah, feels good to hear from someone without a bug for a change. Thx.
Unfortunately it's not possible to extract recast timers (or remaining ward displays for shamans). I'd love to do that otherwise.

great job on ProfitUI, I'm looking forward to the next version.
Just a couple of quick questions, tho.
1) It looks like I'm not able to have the target and implied target always visible, so, when I'm not targetting I have 'empty space' on the top bar. Is there a way?
2) I installed ProfitUI without replacing the .ini file in the root, because I run on widescreen and just rearranged windows from my previous setup. I had a look at the ini file and noticed that it's messy because my previously installed Fetish pieces are still present in the ini. Is there a way to save my configuration to a new - clean ini - then delete the old one and rename the new. I'd hate to go again through the tuning process.
thanks, and keep up the great work, ProfitUI is amazing.

If you stretch out the compass window horizontally, you'll see it has 'placeholders' on either side for the target and implied target windows. If you drag the windows over the placeholders, the placeholders will then remain visible when the target window isn't, and your top bar will not have any gaps in it.
That took me a while to figure out when I first tried to set Profit up for 1600x1200, hehe.

And the answer to 2) is: no, you'll have to start over to get a clean .ini (as far as I know of).
The next release (tonight/tomorrow) will include an .ini file for 1600*1200 that was contributed by a user, btw (can't remember who right now).
