OK, here is a copy of my 1600x1200 .ini file for those of you who are interested. I've seen a few good layouts on this thread already; mine is just a fine tuned for me. I'm a board noob so I couldn't figure out how to include a snazzy screenshot

Doesn't the HTML-Browser support input boxes?
I would like to look at the DKP list ingame, but in addition I must log In to view the list.

The HTML-Browser doesn't support a lot of things since it's rather unfinished. That's not something we could change by modding the UI, though. SOE would need to change the code. The browser is good enough for reading the forums, though.

First of all, a congratulations and thank you for creating such a fantastic UI!

However, I am having one small issue. As a wizard I like to be able to see whats going on, and what my spells are doing at the same time. So, generally, and with 2.2.2, I would have open 2 chat windows, 1 with chat in it, the other with spell info. With 2.3+, whenever I open a 2nd chat window, it creates it over the hotbuttons area. Ok, fine... but then it will not allow me to move it? I have tried with all the combinations in the window settings I can think of, but it just wont budge.

Any ideas? I have looked back around 10 pages, but could not see anything similar to this. Seems most are happy with the tabs!

Great job again on 2.4.1 I really enjoy it. Its the best UI out there

Got a quick question. As a rogue I have the an AA ability called Pick Pocket that allow me to steal money from NPC. Before I upgraded to v2.4.1 I had a pop up message in the top middle of the scrren telling how I got from pick pocket. Now I don't have that message anymore. Its there an option somewhere I should turn on so I can see again that message?

Thanks for the nice feedback, always good to hear that.

Madoron, either unlock the 2nd window (right click->unlock) or create a tab in the 1st window and drag it out of the existing chat window. Both options work fine for me.

Insidius, maybe I messed something up when fiddling with the fonts, although all seems to work fine for me. I don't have a rogue, so I have to ask how this message looked like - like a skillup message? Or was it a message box?
In case it's a setting you changed, I do unfortunately not know how to enable it again.

Thanks for the speedy reply... however it is not accurate, im sorry to say. The window is unlocked, click through is disabled, I have it set to frame and title bar, and I get the little move option up on mouse, however, when I click and try to move it, it moves my viewpoint. Also, I seem unable to resize the windows vertically. Horizontally is fine, but vertically does not work at all

Still stuck on this and been trying ALL night

Here goes another speedy reply.

My reply was accurate for my system. All that you describe works for me. After unlocking, I can click anywhere in the window to move it. Resizing is no problem either.

Have you tried using the default .ini file? Maybe yours is in some way corrupt.

I noticed a bug though: the "close window" button is hidden when frame&titlebar is set to none. I'll fix it.

Which .ini file were you referring to?

Im a little bit simple!

I used the new 1280x1024 ini file for the UI placement, and overwrote the eq.ini file with the updated UI. This is begining to feel really odd. Not been able to do this in 4.2 or 4.2.1 :P

I can drag the Tab out of the window and drop it, but its hard to see where its going to land... So it took me a while to get it where I wanted it... Have a useable one now, but would still like to be able to do it in future, without worry!

Here is a screen shot of my setup. Keep in mind that those of you who use your mouse for your hotkeys may not like this as I only have three hotbars up. I'm old school and prefer the keyboard so three is all I can use anyway

That's the one I was referring to.

I'm a bit out of ideas in your case, since it seems to be working fine for everybody else, me included. I suppose you cannot move/resize the original chat window either?

Anyway, if you want to test this out a bit you could try to use the UI placement ini file from v2.2.2, which you said was working fine. If that doesn't help, try using the eq2ui_mainchat.xml from v2.2.2 (or the complete 2.2.2 UI) and set up your windows as you prefer them. Then reload the newest version but keep your UI settings (you'll need to adjust some window sizes/settings manually).

Remember the april fool messages that SOE did this year like "Prepare to camp" or "10 000 of falling damage". Well when I use pick pocket I receive in the same format and in the same place that message.

EQ2 keeps crashing every time I choose chat options on the chat window, is this because I have smallfonts selected or the other option?

now that i am using the new TSkill window I love the icons that show the count down to when they can be used again.

This single thing would be the absolute best thing to add to the hotbar. WOW would it not be nice to see the numbers counting down on when a spell can be used again with out having too wave the mouse pointer to get a tool tip.

Can this be done?

I been looking over this for the past couple days, and I don't seem to see anyone else who is having this problem. Everything is working fine with the UI, except when I bring up my map screen (m). The window is there but invisible. I get the options by right clicking, and I can move the window around. I tried playing with the window settings, but not matter what mixture of opacity I use, I can't seem to get it to re-appear.

Any ideas?

Hi,

First, thanks for this nice ui-mod. But I have a question.

1 of my twinks is a defiler. Is there a way to show in maintained window the digits of a remaining ward always, not only the remaining time? If I move the mouse over the ward icon on these window it will display the remaining worth of the ward, but there is a long way from the maintained window to the hotbar to cast a new one in a hot fight ;-)

Hi, and thanks for the work on this amazing UI. I have 2 small problems at the moment:

1) I cant get the arrows on the side of the hotbar rows up to choose between different hotbars configurations (you know hotbar 1, 2, 3 etc).

2) I cant rightclick on the current active groupbuffs (the vertikal row to the left). This means I cant cancel spells anymore which is really bad for me. Anyone know how to fix that issue? cant get an option to lock/unlock either or any other right click menu. All other windows work xcept hotbars (se 1)

this happened a while ago, in 2.3, but it did happen from the recent dropdown window, sorry for the slow reply, but it hasnt happened since that one time, just wanted to report back.

also...another question i've been pondering is if there is a way to show the numbers for the hotbars besides pressing f10 twice, it helps me memorize them easier hehe, thanks very much

Droiyan7, thanks for the report, didn't notice this yet. UPDATE: Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce this behaviour, it's working fine for me on all font settings.

I know about the placement issue, had some problems fixing this (setting the location didn't work) and not enough time to test things out. All 30 buffs should be shown, though (that's why the implied window is currently larger

).

Insidius, I don't have much playtime, and I didn't play on april's fools.

Anyone have a screenshot or, even better, know which XML this window is in? It shouldn't be eq2ui_onscreenmessage.xml, that one appears to be working fine.

promos, I'll try to reproduce this. I don't currently see how it could be related to the fonts. UPDATE: I couldn't reproduce this with any of the font settings.

labrat, this can unfortunately not be done.

ghostsword, ProfitUI is using the default map window. Maybe you have left-over files in your ProfitUI directory. Try removing the ProfitUI folder and reinstalling ProfitUI.

Taxor, this can unfortunately not be done (I play a defiler myself and will be the first to implement this once SOE makes it possible

).

raukhur, this question definitively needs to go in the FAQ, if ever I write one, since people keep asking it. You need to set the window options to "Frame & Titlebar". Unless I put the wrong file in the archive again, your second problem should have been fixed in 2.4.1 (and was already fixed in a hotfix for 2.4). I'll check this. UPDATE: The latest version is fine, be sure to upgrade.

speedycerv, thanks for the update. You can still reproduce the crash by using the recent searches dropdown excessively. I'll currently leave it like it is because I suppose that it's not really a problem for most and because a workaround for will be time-consuming to find (the problem is on SOE's end). And the second question, another one for the FAQ: Numbers are controlled by the frame sliders in window options.

You're using an older version of ProfitUI - the display problems with the chat windows without tabs have been fixed for a while. With the current version you should see the [x] to close the window in the upper right corner. Fastest way for your version is to drag the windows into another chat window and remove the tabs that this will create.

I was not able to find this.. so here goes... i am having a problem trying to move a chat window.... i can resize it fine, but cant seem to find the spot to be able to grab it to move... my window is in the lower right corner of my screen and i want to slide it to the left some

can someone plz help.

Using 2.4.1, problem being, I can't scroll guild events window. Am I missing something? I used to be able to scroll iut, just wondering if anyone else is having this problem. 500 events and can only see one tenth

Not that it's fanatically important, but if you could see your way to looking into this, I would appreciate it.
