Red face everquest1 ui for everquest2

can a ui from everquest1 be used for everques2 to avoid the requirement for vertex shaders and pixel shaders? my everquest1 works fine on my computer but everquest2 wont load. i dont care about all the fancy graphics but i want to be able to play with my friends. i am willing to make my own ui if that will work but i am a newbie in making ui's

Nope you can't take a UI from EQ1 and use it in EQ2 with out a total remake.

Even if you could, the UI has absolutely nothing to do with vertex and pixel shaders.

Vertex and Pixel Shaders as with the DirectX 9.0c requierement are binded to your video card, if you can't start EQ2 but can start EQ1, then it seems you got an unsupported video card, which can mean only one thing:

Time to upgrade your PC!

So sorry bout this, it might not be what you wanted to hear.
