It's more of a toggle really...
You can create your own macro /togglebags and it will do just that.
Press once to open and press again to close.

And while we are on the subject of opening bags...
Test server update has /togglebankbags enabled!!!

I've already modded the ThorUI for this new feature and look forward to it as I know many others are as well.
