Duplicate POIS soon

Most likely we will have some duplicate pois with ours and sony's since they have added more to the following zones on the test server

- Antonica
- The Commonlands
- Nektulos Forest
- The Thundering Steppes
- The Feerrott
- The Enchanted Lands
- Zek, the Orcish Wastes

I noted there are duplicates of a few locations in Antonica, some with different icons.

off topic: one thing that makes me nuts about phpbb is the quote feature. is there a way to turn off the "so and so says" part of the quote?

Just remove the =name from the quote tag. Offtopic, this isnt phpbb its vbulletin. Proper ussage of quote is [ quote ] my text to quote [ / quote ] if you wish to include a username then you do [ quote = my friend bob ] my text to quote [ / quote ]. With out the spaces ofcource.

When your logged into the site, click the POI name from the list under the map and put in a comment and click the report bad option.

As of today, when I ran my map update I received many many new poi's. Now, especially in NEK Forest, I have a ton of dupivated pois and they are not even in the same exact loc. They are close, but in different positons. Also I now have small yellow zone poi;s and Large Yellow poi's atop one another.

I'll assume the duplicate PoI's are being worked on eventually. There's a metric ton of them and I'll get to fiddling with the site to check em off as I come across them again.

on the topic of duplicates, when i was doing the easier parts of the haddens earring quest i noticed that the PoI for the Commonlands update spot had duplicates as well. there was a single PoI for haddens, then a group PoI at the same spot (two of which were the same thing)

Its up to you guys to click "report bad" on the duplicate POI's on the EQ2Map webpage. You'll be hopeing a long time if you think some one is going to magicly fix them.

Write down the UID number of a duplicate POI, go to the webpage and put that number into the "Jump to POI" box. Then in the comments box write "this is a duplicate POI because of LU10" and check the "Check if this POI is wrong." checkbox and click submit.

I dont expect anyonoe to fix them. I only threw it out there as an FYI because this thread jogged my memory, and I haven't been online in a while to check the PoI ID's in order to submit it "properly". A guy tries to be helpful, although 'incorrectly' and gets ....

Excuse me for not being completely knowledgable about everything.

Many people have been reporting them... I've been deleteing them when I have time but I think they go away when they are reported.

i wrote down a samll list while in zek, but then i stopped before i submitted it cuz i realized something. New folks to these zones will now no longer know where some of these places are. Having the icon on top of the black made things so much easier for me when I got to a place I've never been before, so I didn't submit these. Should I go back and submit them as bad POI's?
