Splitpaw file
OK, my first log. Be gentle with me. ;-)
Hmm, map creation guide says to post the IOP file, but forum won't take it. I assume you just want the name: steppes+adv02_dun_sundered_splitpaw.iop.
Floor is brown dirt.
How'd I do?

Yep, just the name of the file.
Hmmm I was in that zone last night and the zone seemed alot bigger then this...
wondering if they updated the zone because i went in that other shorter tunnel and it led to some really big areas but there were no gnolls anywhere.

My wife and I were in at 29. there were some walls and rock piles that seemed like they blocked the path to somewhere. But, we couldn't figure out if we could destroy them (they weren't targettable). We haven't been in the D'Morte zone, so don't know how that works.

OK, found a false wall (have to get up high to get through though). Can you work some map magic and add this to it? Or, maybe just use this one. I don't think I cleared my log after the first run.

Where do I ask about map progress?
I didn't want to post in the EQ2 Map forum, incase that was for modders only.
I was just wondering how the progress for the splitpaw zone was coming? I did a search for splitpaw and found only one thread about that zone's map. Do we have to wait till June 28, 2005?
Sorry, if this is not the appropriate place to ask this question.

It gets done when some one does it. I've been busy keeping the sites running so I havent worked on any new maps. A few of the old mappers dont play EQ2 any more. I wish some others would learn the process and take things further. It is time consuming.

Ok I had some free time and made the map. I was in the zone before it was nerfed and part of it closed down. So this is the south part of the map. The north part wont be open until the adventure pack goes live but I'm just working ahead.

Map is now live, please update via patcher and let me know if it works for you. I have it set to switch to the no-map sign if you go too far south (i think).

I zoned in this morning, you have done an absolutely fantastic job. I love it. It looks as if Sony made it themselves. Even better!

P.S. I could probably learn how to make the maps. I read a little about it; however, I do not have some of the utilities that are required. The instructions say to install Perl, but when I went to that site, it has executables for win9x and NT. I have XP, will the NT version work on Win XP? I realize that XP has the NTFS, but wasn't sure if it was made for XP or not.

Just a tip when your doing the zonerect. I would use Taco-mans tool as I can never get an acurate zonrect with tony's tool and not sure how you would be able to.

If any one on test has a charater thats high enough I guess this zone is all open now as they just patched LU11a. So if some one can map the north part that would be great.

I'll try to learn more. But, being only level 30 may limit the zones I can get into to help with.
