Post SS of Laffs version and also the broken Perd version of the same page please for me to look at... I should be able to work out from there what is wrong... As my version has one hell of a lot more files than Perdi's to examine..

Thanks

I can do one better, i know exactly what file needs to be fixed.
I copied the eq2ui_ImageStyles.xml from the laffs version over the one in the perdition version and now it looks like it should.

Right click on the XP window, click "Window Settings". In that box there is a dropdown that lets you pick None, Frame, or Frame and Titlebar. Pick Frame and Titlebar. That should show the extra exp stuff.

Not really necessary though if you want a cleaner screen, because the XP bar at the top will auto-switch to whatever you gain experience in. So when you start tradeskilling it will become the tradeskill xp bar. When you gaing quest or monster xp it will switch back to adventure xp.

Loaded the "new" version of this mod and everything works perfect.

However I'm wondering... is there any way to get my subclass title back above the experience bar? Right now it just says "Level 28" and nothing else.

Thanks

How do you get the hotbar labels to stay off? When I drag an icon the pop back on?

Thats kool... never seen that happen before either lmao

You guys are real good at finding bugs

Guess thats another me gotta have a look at hehe..

For now all I can say is on the hotbar number click on that and it turns off the names , click above the icons it turns off the shortcut key names eg: 1 , 2 etc
also if you have a bar 2x6 above and below the arrows will do the same.

I am having a problem with the buff window that is clickable from single line to double line (for use in groups/raids where buffs exceed one line).

It refuses to wrap-around buffs to the second line and simply overflows the window outside the box set for it... I tried to see if the box was too short but there is no horizontal expansion allowed so right now, I have all my buffs showing on top row simply running outside the box on the row past the right side.. nothign will drop to second row for me.

Any clues why?

Yeh maybe the buff icons dont want to drop down to the second line as thats at bit too close to the raid mob and they dont want to get hurt

Anyways sounds like its the volume fill to me, I will have a look and post a file here but this is somthing you guys are going to have to test for me also as max buffs I ever have is about 10 oks

*EDIT*

Oh there is no volume fill for that window lol... Also it all seem's in order to me 21 icons on the top 9 on the bottom row, I have changed the pack location on the last 9 to see if that is the problem..

Like I say you guys will need to tell me if its working or not and a SS would be most helpfull

The problem seems to be one of having too many buffs assigned to top row before assigning to second? I later on had some friends cast extra junk buffs on me and found I do get the icons to drop down but there are 2 or 3 too many on top row to fit in the window.. they hang over the side to right of window.

I havea SS but no clue how to post it here .. but what I see is that I have 22 spell icons on first row before the 23rd will drop down to 2nd row.. problem is that there is only room in the window panel for 20 icons. 2 are hanging off in the frame area.

If so I will tag icon 21 onwards with right, bottom ..... hold on shouldnt it be left, bottom ? I remember there is somthing weird about how SoE interpritates right to left ... or was that just me heheh

Anyways was that with the file I posted ?

(To attach a SS scroll down from the reply box and you will see a button "manage attachments" Hmm I wonder what that does j/k)

Ok, the symptoms I mentioned were with your original file , NOT the one you attached today... the one you attached today, has second row alignment problems so delete it from consideration completely.

Here is the SS of my original problem with the UI and the overflow on row 1. It has 22 icons shown. The 23rd will properly wrap down to start a row 2 but need the 21st to do that in order to avoid the overflow:

Fixed that I forgot to resize the exp page back down again

Lmao.. You do know that de-bugging / aka fixing stuff that dont work correctly is trial and error.... With the exp window no need for the "trial and error" as the problem was easy the parent page wasnt big enough...

But with this it appears that everything is set up fine... SO the file I posted was the 1st in the line of the de-bugging process therefore its that one in opperation that I need the SS of like I asked

Then once I can see exactly what the second row alignment problems are I can work from there it may even just be a case of switching left / right

Default A minor one for you Laffs

Here's a minor one Laffs:

The Maintained Spells Window (when using the alternate file included in your latest update that moves the EQ2 button away and includes the casting time and breath bar as a vertical) looks like it should have space for 6 buffs across, but starts the second row after five spells. Here is a screenshot:

Ok sorry for my gaff above, and here is the way my screen looks using your latest version in your above post:

Notice icon 21 is in the frame area of row 1. You can see what happens with the row 2... the first icon to draw is the one to far right on row 2, then the rest line up partially shown beginning to the left on row 2.

Thanks for the great UI btw... Sorry to be a pain like this as well.

Lol Np..

Also you not being a pain its somthing that needs fixing and I appriciate your testing of this as I dont have access to 21+ buffs to test it myself lol

Oks made a few more changes I will explain what I have done so you can watch it closely

Icons 1-20 they are set to align to the Right and the Top
Icons 21-30 are set to align to the Right and Bottom

Now when you hit the switch to minimize the window Icons 21-30 "should" then place themselves exactly over the top of Icons 1-9

Max the window again and they should drop back to below Icons 1-9 again..

You may have to min / max a couple of times to get a true result

Anyone is welcome to test this also please in order to get it working asp

Ok, loaded the latest version of file and logged in .. SS one will be the one with 2 rows (after toggling several times per suggestion to get correct effect.

SS two is what it looks like when you minimize it to one row of buffs.

SS1 -- The last two buffs (21 and 22 are still on row 1 and overflow into the frame. SS2-- The last 2 buffs then ride up above row 1 off the frame and the 23-25 do indeed line up over the buffs 1-3.

Interesting stuff...

It seems that no matter where you place them or set there pack location to they will keep lining up untill they reach the end of the parent window and then drop down to the row below the location of the first one...

I have had them placed on a volume page as well but they wont work at all like that Grrrr as that is the ideal way to control what they do...

Need to have a re-think about this

Oks plan "B"

I have made 3 dummy icons and placed them after icon 20 in the hope that these will invisibly take up the 3 spaces after and force 21+ to drop on to bottom row....

(also I have stopped the others from going ontop when the window is at min, cause it was stopping the tooltip for icons 1-9 working)

If this dont work I still have a few ideas left along the lines of this.... If not then I guess only way is to make another window as an overlay for a clear effects window it will look the same but be 2 windows insted of 1 .... I know what me's mumbling on about lol

I will let the images speak for themselves... wish I knew more about how to code these things. I could help with more than just bad images.

Damn... That sucks it has just ignored the extra 3 icons and went ahead over the top of them

Oks then I can see that idea not going to work... Part of the problem is the icons dont work if they are anymore than 1 page deep within the mainhud file basicly.... So that means you cant kind of put them in a "cage" if you like lol

Looks like I have to make a box type window to contain them (like the default window) then make a window with a window if you with me to place over the top... so it all looks the same as it is now, but made up of 2 windows that way I can force them to "wrap" properly.. And still get the min / max button to work also.... Not an ideal way to do this as it means 1 more extra custom window but what the hell it seem's to be the only way to get it to behave how it surposed to...
Thanks for the help with the testing , I will get back on this tomorrow it would be kool if you checked back in here to do a bit more testing for us then
