The CSM (combat stats monitor) is a utility you need to download from elsewhere I cant give you a linky to it here but its not hard to find.. The window included in my UI works with it except for the mp3 part.. waiting for the csm guys to add some code in at there end to make this happen...
Update to target etc coming up.... I like to try and find all the things that are broken after a patch before I update the UI in downloads, So please be patient my little friends, me is working on it

About the "auto-hiding" stuff... Any window whos content area is entirely contained within the black "letterbox" space will not obey transparency properties for the frame and title bar. Since some of the windows in this interface [Edit: whos content frames are contained within the default letterbox area] add additional stuff by placing it on the "frame" and "titlebar" parts of the window (even though being a frame and title bar isn't what they are used for) they automatically receive full opacity while the mouse is in the window and full transparency while the mouse is outside of it.
One way to fix this is to turn widescreen letterbox off and reposition the few windows that get moved around by doing this. That way everything obeys the opacity sliders in the Windows Settings box.

That one way to do it yes....
Bakes,
Yellow= Re above but also... I will take a look at that window again I may have left it Visible=false and it not working for you like that..
Bottom Yellow= Above also just thought there is an option in there game options where you can show windows frames and borders in the "letterbox area" that should fix this problem but not sure about the top one.
Red= Yes I know that has been fixed now... I had left 2 panes visible and that messes things up.
Green= Na na da na na Lol you aint got one of my bugs on that one as I dont include a guild window in my UI thats the default SoE one  (Yes!, Got yah,,, Laffs gains double exp for defeating Bakes dreaded green box) Anyways you gotta be a guild officer or leader or somthing to change them.
Blue= Thats down to SoE also, The data is there just they broke it / removed it going to keep it like that for a while incase they enable it again
Right go pick on sombody else now Bakes  j/k luv yah realy

Im having same issue as Draconis. I redownloaded your UI it fixed the Target Health and mana.
But my group window the more people u get the less it shows.
So basically.
F1 group member shows all
F2. Shows 80% mana and Life on the bar (but has full)
F3. Group member shows 60
You get the picture till you get to the 6th member. It looks like he needs a heal cause its only showing maybe 30% health and mana but hes really full.
Reading over your post you said you are working on targetting but not sure if you know about the group. I can post SS if you need one. Thanks

YES
I need a screenshot please!! .... The group windows like F2 - F5 it didnt matter where the hell you placed them at one time they would just get lined up as you grouped.... but now is not the case .... and I have not had a group past 1 member since I thought I fixed this ... so yes it all looked fine to me lol ...
I wait for your SS it will realy help me out to fix this issue as somtimes I can see what the problem is right away from a screenshot better than words can explain.... But I have a fealing that I am going to have to remake the group window by the sounds of it  Oh well LOL
*EDIT*
I had a look at the new default one and mine in the UI builder I think I see what the problem is could you try this file for me please and and send me a PM as to what needs fixing after this.... Also a screenshot here would be good if needed thanks

Group Window
I am attaching a zip here containing 2 group windows could sombody test them both for me please... One is named .BAC and will need that removed from the file name when you come to try that file..
What I need is 2 screenshots taken with each version of the file in use.
There needs to be at least 4 in your group including you so I can get a proper picture of what needs to be done next...
Reason I am asking you guys to do this is, its real hard for me to get a group to stand about and wait for me to log in and out lots of times while making changes etc.... So this way it will get it fixed faster for us all

While you are working with the Group Window, I have a suggestion:
How about a little label under the part of the Group Member display where the Hit Points bar angles upward (leaving a seperation between it and the mana bar) that has the character level and a symbol for fighter, scout, priest, mage? Don't know if that is possible/feasable, but it would be kinda nice.

I think (note I said think lol) I have the group window fixed now anyways after having to do a remake of it... but spent 4 hours trying to get a damn group of more than 2 peeps to test it properly.. So I emailed it to my GL who happens to use my UI and left him with it lol
So waiting for a reply back as to if its all lined up right or not....

Solved my question. hehehehe
well if you remember your UI highness, that I had the problem of the HOT bars not staying listed from top to bottom like I wanted to. I figured it out.
it has to do where the first, second and third windows are placed when you pull that and zip it up for us. so before it was:

well what I had to do is akin to what you said earlier. clear the hotbars, start with #1, unlock it move it where I want it, relock it. then open the 2nd (would open at the bottom) unlock it, move it, relock it. 3rd, 4th and 5th alike and now when i log back in it is in the order I wanted it. =) thanks for the nudge over in the right direction.
Now that I've figured this out a couple other things.
if you guys want the bigger implied target bar than the one on this you can get it from the original perdition files and it meshes just right. no issues in that. so Laffs you do a GREAT job!!!!
ok as George Carlin says " and now for the requests, I always save the requests for last; kinda sets him up!" (after his opening prayer)
laffs, the HO block to me doesn't to set right, you have a great UI, any chance a better skin for it? the wheel is better to understand and easier to read. =) because the positions are not set, they appear in the #1 slot if it's supposed to be there =) any chance on a reskin sometime? right now i'm using the Tye Jae's wheel because it looks cool =) but again Laffs i love your work with perdi's UI! thanks again.

I have to load up SS but as far as your group UI fix the numbers represented are correct now its just the visual green and blue bars dont represent 100% full.

I have done a remake of that window since the last update to the zip file above.... and for 2 days of trying off and on I still cant get a group to test it with  ..... Even made a new toons on diff servers thinking at me gotta get a cave group at least...... NOPE ..... Somtimes wonder why I bother  ....
For what it worth here is the file I am trying to test... But if any of you do decide to try it I realy do need a screenshot either way of it working or not please.

Everything in the version you posted is fine except.. No idea what the 900 is doing next to the Mystic icon. He is a Mystic but the 900 I have no answer for. I do like the little icon but the 900 ? He had like 3k hp and pow nothing in stats close to 900.

ignore it. Dynamic data for groups is broken. Laffs prolly included it for future just-in-case adaptablity. And it prolly forgot to hide it >_<

Looks good, everything is lined up. pay no mind to the not filled mana bars, i joined up with my guildies that were fighting in CT so i could check it for ya.
Only thing is the 'eye' icon and the 900 that appears to show up only on the 1st slot. In this case, a 50 guardian.

Ok, to remove that eye-con (  ) I removed lines 6 and 11 from the updated eq2ui_mainhud_groupmembers.xml (shown below).

Oks thanks to those of you who tested that group window for me....
There is quite a bit of potential infomation that one could add to the group window but as you see none of it works.... Maybe SoE will do sothing about that in the future but for now I will remove it all..
As for the guild window you must have a stray checkbox styles file in your custom folder just delete it (or if you using any mods that need it see if there is an update for them)... As nothing in this UI uses a custom version of that file, Same with the guild window if that file is in the custom folder delete that also, for the same reasons......
When I get chance I will post a file list so you guys can check what should and should not be in the BottomV8 folder... I must admit you could have a few stray files that could be my fault..
But soon as I finish work today I got 3 UIs at least to update with these changes.. After that I will see what else there is todo

i don't have any checkbox style files in my UI folder, i'm using bottomv8 with some of jaxels windows and eq2map. The only change applied to my guild window is that done by bottomv8 to give the window the same coloring as the rest of the UI.
Specifically, I am referring to a problem I originally posted in the "Help!?!?!" forum, since at the time I had not found this one. That post can be found here:

I remember that thread now...
I have looked at the very last version of the V8 UI that Perdition updated herself and there is no guild window in there same as there is no guild window in my version of the UI either...
Basicly what I am saying is if you have a guild window in either of the BottomV8 UI folders then REMOVE it for that window to have a "skin" means sombody must have modded that file other than myself or Perdition..
Yes other windows that are not included in the UI download will have silver frames etc insted of the default gold one's but that change is made elsewhere and not on the individual files themselves..
So for this update you will all need to DELETE THE EXISTING BOTTOMV8 FOLDER.... Then put the other mods you may wish to add back in the new folder from there..
Also to ease troubleshooting in the future for me I am going to change the folder names:-
LAFFSV8
PERDV8
As it stands there is about 4 Ui's I think that all use BOTTOMV8 as the custom folder name.

Ok, in an extreme effort to get this working i nuked my entire UI folder.
I then ran the launchpad and let it re-download everything. After that I download both your version of bottomV8 and the one you are maintaining for Perdition (which is also the one i've been using).
Upon installing Perditions version i noticed the following:
guild Event filters window - black
guild events window - black
guild members window - patron checkbox messed up
Upon installing your version i noticed the following:
guild events window - black
members and event filters windows however looked right
I also noticed the ui shows up during zone, some parts a lil scrambled and says i'm level 50.
I tried both these UIs with nothing else, no other pieces and nothing in the UI folder except what was included in the zip file. If it helps, I'm running at 1280x1024.
If u want screenshots of them let me know.

Could be just that you dont have any events for the guild. >_<
Ignore what happenes during zoning regarding the UI. The game esseantally unloads and reloads the ui every time you zone. As long as your windows dont STAY moved around and messed up, so what?

Oks redone the imagestyles file
there is NO checkbox styles file in either of the UI's so nothing I can do there.
I may add that whilst my checkboxes in the guild window are showing but kind of blacked out yes... well faded shall we say realy .... I put that down to me not being of a status to modify these options!!!
Also I have got to stress the fact that my GL uses Laffs version downloaded from here and has no problems with the guild window at all !!! And we got events... blah blah blah etc etc ... so I am sure if it was not working then he would be the first to get on my case about it...
As for the messed up UI windows when you first log in I have explained this all before probably in this thread, I thinks....

no, it says at the bottom:
events: 15/500 locked: 0/200
it doesn't matter anymore, i did get it working by doing something i didn't think of b4, trying to move the scroll bar on that window. So, now the events window works in both UIs (laffs and perditions), and subsequently, the guild window in laffs is working fine. That trick however didn't work in perditions to make the event filters window show up.
since laffs works but perditions doesn't, is there a file I can copy over from laffsv8 to perdv8 to make the guild window look right? or is that pointless since, as laffs stated, "nothing in this UI uses a custom version of that file"?
