Hopefully a mistake but I strongly suggest everybody set that file to ignore. If you already downloaded it make sure you run your EQ2 patcher to get the official file again.
Seems my login to the updater's server does no longer work (which is hopefully unrelated) so I cannot delete the file or make statements to the trustworthyness of the thing at this time, you'll have to wait for Kaldran. edit: I did manually download the everquest2.exe from the updater's server and all I got was a 0 sized (empty) file. so really looks like a mistake.
