Chat window has disappeared!

I've just created a new character and the chat window just started to not appear unless I started a camp to desktop. Then it would appear and I would cancel the camp and continue on. But recently even that doesn't work.

How can I get the chat window to appear? There is a space for it where I originally put it but just won't appear.

This is a common issue with the window placement file for your characters.

Simply type /loadui while in game and choose a window placement file from another character that does work or use my window placment file provided in the AU.
