Hide/Unhide mount. How would I make a macro to do this?

I have a mount that is nice and fast but big and noisy, I want to hid it permanently. But on another char, I have a mount I mostly want to show. Is there a way to macro the hide/unhide option?

You won't be able to hide mounts at all until GU56 goes live. And once it does, it will be a personal setting: you won't see mounts or you will see mounts, but how folks see you will be up to their settings.

With that said, there may be a / command for that option. It's still on test, so I'm not sure yet however. You may want to log onto test and experiment by typing / strings and hitting tab to see what commands are available (ie try /hide then tab, then perhaps /mount then tab).

/suspend_mount_mode N

Where N is one of the following values :

0 - Mount always visible

1 - Mount hidden in combat

2 - Mount always hidden

This command changes the setting of "Render Mounts" in Options/Display/Animation, so you'll need to create macros for each character. It doesn't look as if there is a per character setting - maybe one of the UI modding guru's could create a Render Mounts button
