Default Editing/Creation: Lose all Icons when I add new Mapstyle

I'm trying to do the "whole deal" on a map that I'm working on.

I have a .dds for it, zone rect, etc.

However, when I use the UIBuilder to add the Mapstyle (by duplicating an existing style and changing it's name), none of the icons, nor the "you are here" pointer show up on the map anymore.

Is there some other thing I'm supposed to add to the .xml file?

if you just submit the dds zonerect, internal name, ect that you have then we will put it on the website and the updater in a few days and then you can submit pois to the website and the website will put the pois in to the map automatically.

Well, I want to do a multi-map zone and I'd like to test it locally first. I don't want it looking like the bottom layers of Sol Eye.

What I don't understand is why adding the mapstyle on its own would remove ALL icons, and the you are here indicator from all maps.

Well, that's interesting . . .

When I used the UIBuilder to edit the eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml file directly, it modified ALL the files it was attached to, apperently in a way that completly changed every single file.

What method do you use to edit that file?

Ahhh . .
So I edited the core_mapstyles.xml using a text editor, copied and existing entry and modified the info . . and everything worked just right. Very cool.

Now it's just a matter of making the darn map
