The Shadow Odyssey NDA lifted

Now that the NDA has been lifted for The Shadow Odyssey beta I have posted a compare of the interface changes here. I'll be sure to post more compares as things change on test leading up to November 18th.

This expansion brings a huge change to the in game map system. Thanks to gm9 and jnils for their extremely hard work (and a little help from Landiin), EQ2MAP will continue to work with the new map system. There is still some loose ends to tie up but they hope to have it mostly done by launch day Nov 18th.

those are nice looking! I wonder will party members and tracking targets show on the minimap?

They will, far as I know. The default UI has the group-member dots and waypoint marker on it, so EQ2Map should have them too.

I hope we can get a beta of the EQ2Map stuff before it goes live. Looks like I may need to re-do my icon_map3.dds file.

Can confirm the group/waypoint icons thing.

On an EQ2MAP beta release I can't speak for the team since we have not discussed it (my feeling is we probably won't) but I know we have not finalized things like icons. Currently icon_map3.dds is not modified, only renamed.
