Great UI, I love it!

However im having a problem with the inventory Market window (broker) . Says its not compatible with my UI and I should upgrade or use default. I just installed it today following the instructions provided. Is there something extra I shoud have done?

did you download the correct version?

I guess you donwloaded the old Version of ProfitUI or ProfitUI Reborn.

I run the full ProfitUI mod on my system, and everything works fine. My wife liked the broker window from it, so I'm glad it was posted seperatly for those that just wanted IT.. however, upon installing it (and updating the equi.ini file) we ran one of her toons to a broker and discovered that the coin does not display.. available oin below the buy window, coin earned, and the button to pickup the earned coin are all blank... any ideas?

I even made a seperate ui folder, named it myskin, copied all of the default ui subdir into it, dl a fresh copy of the broker window files, re-installed them, re-updated the equi.ini to reflect the new ui folder and tried again with the same problem, then I copied the files used in the broker ui from my full version ui (as a few of them were newer because I keep up on the patches for the full skin) and overwrote yet again, tested once again, and still no difference... am I missing a file or 3? mayhaps just a line error somewhere that I missed? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Took this from the installation readme that comes with the down load

If you are already using another UI mod (this comprises EQ2MAP):

- Extract the files into your current custom UI folder

IMPORTANT: Do not overwrite your existing eq2ui.xml with the included file.
Instead, edit the existing eq2ui.xml in your custom UI folder
with notepad or another editor to add this line:

<include>_ProfitUI_Styles.xml</include>

Maybe that has something to do with it? But if you already tried that I am stumped as I have this mod running no problems following the instructions

Comra, you need to copy the ProfitUI_styles.xml as well and reference it in eq2ui.xml (see Garick's post above mine).

keyxik, sounds like a new bug from SOE. The text is dynamic and decided by the client, not the UI. I did actually use a few scrying stones I found on an alt recently and still had the correct message, so it must be a recent problem. /bug it if it matters.

jdw2005, try renaming your wife's server_character_uisettings.ini (this will reset all window placements) and don't load an alt's settings when it offers you the option. There may be an incorrect leftover setting in there from another mod. I take from your description that she does not use another mod at the same time, but if she does and resetting the uisettings does not work, please let me know which one.

I noticed that the xp numbers are off, does this have to do with the ui, or the game its self? I need 101% to level, and actually noticed my xp numbers going backwards a % in the 80's. (I went from 81.9% to 81.3 after killing a solo mob.)

The XP was introduced by SOE with LU24.

There are two XP window variants included, each using it's own method to help you see your exact XP (check the release notes). Both of them have issues, however, until SOE fixes this (which they may not).

OK, thanx GM9, I'll try to do that tonight when she stops playing to see what happens.. and no, she uses the default settings atm but just wanted the broker window... will post later and let you know what happens

I found out that there wasn't any eq2ui.xml in my eq2map folder and I must have missed that part with the _ProfitUI_Styles.xml.

Hi gm9 could you please in next version of the mod also include uisettings ini file for 800x600 resolution? I'm limited to use game in that resolution in my 2nd computer (well I run the game in windowed mode, and reduce its size to match that resolution).

Can't seem to figure out how to get hat persona bar to show back where it shows my stats etc. How can I get that to reshow up and also... Is there another menu or something to get more options on what that persona bar shows besides the stats, resists etc?

The bottom bar? What it shows is currently not configurable, only the top bar has two variants (XP/stats). The bottom bar can be shown/hidden via the frame&title options. If you accidentally moved the window out of the screen, you can load the default uisettings (or open your character's uisettings.ini in notepad, find "memorized" and change it to, for example, "memorize1").

I downloaded this today and have a few problems.

The first was that that it didn't work with broker. I copied over my eq2 inventory iu files from default to the profit ui and it worked

I find that resizing windows it to ackward as I kept needing to press f10 then open a new tool bar. I can also only see arrows to scroll throw my UI on one scrollbar.

Overall with tweaks it could be much more user friendly

jediknight2k1, if the broker didn't work you downloaded the wrong version. Get the latest version here.

GM9, first I want to say thank you for all the time you've put into your incredible UI.

I have a simple question which will most likely result in a complex answer.

I use the default UI with a couple small mods (target/implied window, tracking, and a couple others) I've been looking for a player window that has stats, resists AND Haste/DPS, however I cannot find one. Would there be a way for me to extract the player bar I see in your UI and add it to my own slightly modified default UI? I'm sure its not as simple as pulling a file from yours and putting it in my on UI folder, but is there anyway to do this at all?

For everything you rip you need to include the _ProfitUI_Styles.xml, and for the bottom bar you will want the eq2ui_mainhud_memorized.xml, and, if you want the graphics on the bar, the profit.dds. That should be all I think. Enjoy.

I'm using the Market Windo only mod. I added the line to eq2ui.xml to include _ProfitUI_Styles.xml but everytime EQ2 starts up it deletes that line from the file!

The window does work except that it doesn't show the seller name or amount of coin you have.

You need to add that line to eq2ui.xml in your CustomUI folder. Everything you edit in the Default folder will be overwritten by the game.

Wondering if anyone had any suggestion on a fix. Did a clean install of the UI, running 1024x768.ini and anytime I target a NPC the screen starts to flicker and break up. Esc off the target or switch to a player character and it clears up. Really has me stumped as I've tried with multiple resolutions and configurations.

Also, great UI, love the features and work put into it, if I can just figure out how to get rid of the NPC flicker

Hello, I have been now using your UI for such a long time and I absolutely adore it. It is totally organized and I couldnt imagine playing without it....

I was wondering if perhaps in the Profit UI skin pack, you could add some feminine colors?? I would like a bunch of different pinks and purples to pick from for the backdrop colours, there is only very manly colors right now and 1 color that sort of resembles lavendar / pink but its sorta icky ;/

If you could please consider this that would be awesome

saltgurl sure, no problem, I'll try to do something pink. If you post a color sample you'll even get a complete skin like that with the next release (I have it set up so that I can easily turn out a new skin color at the press of a button, hehe).

Tried a few other UI's including default and I can't reproduce it other than with Profit. Which sucks because I like Profit out of all of them hands down. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

Sorry for asking, but after searching the forums and this tread I am still lost on this question.

What is the exact procedure to enable the quick logon and logoff of toons without going though the select screen. I am unclear what file to change and when I find said file what to change it to.

I know this answer is probably the only place I have not looked, but figured I would ask... Thanks

Hey love the UI and thank you for your hard work. i am on beta now and downloaded 2.9.0 for beta the crashes at load screen any sugg?
