Fetish Nightfall Full Release

First and foremost, Great UI Zonx. I will gladly (and patiently) wait for any updates. I understand RL takes a priority (as it should).

A guildmate is having a small problem though. Her persona window is not showing the icons. All she has is a black box there. What is strange is I copied my Fetish folder and sent it to her, and mine works.

I have had her delete here load the default ui and she says the black box with no icons shows up there too.

The small problem I am having is in the recruiting tab in the guild window. At the bottom there is a details button, that when I click, doesn't work.

Anyone have any thoughts as to what is occuring? Any help is greatly aprreciated

I am now having a problem with the zone reuse timer window. When I click the icon, all I get is a black screen with a series of key icons along the left side.

Did I miss something in the install?

Aerokella, you can edit the attempted spell list by opening _Fetish_Mainhud_Cures.xml in NotePad. If I mistakenly included a spell that shouldn't be attempted, please let me know and I'll remove it from the standard file. The list for each effect type was derived from OGamming spell info, which isn't always accurate. Likewise if I missed a spell, please let me know.

Wrendon, only thing I can think of is that you and your mate have 1 or more old version of files copied from the default UI or provided by another mod.

Never copy files from the default folder to the Fetish directory. Several key files are intentionally ommitted from the Fetish directory to force default versions to be loaded, which ensures they are always current. eq2ui_gamedata.xml is 1 such file, as are virtually all the default xxxStyle.xml files.

If another mod provides a copy of any of the following files, you'll need to manually merge the code for both to form a superset of everything in both versions.

eq2ui_inventory.xml
eq2ui_journal.xml
eq2ui_mainhud.xml

ALWAYS use the version of eq2ui.xml provided with Fetish. Other mods often include this file but almost always cause screen sizing issues with Fetish.

For some reason my maintained spells and stats windows have disappeared. How can I restore them? Restoring all windows to default position did nothing.

Both of the buff windows scroll, make sure you didn't scroll to the end of the window (thus hiding the buffs).

I have a general question: The eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml file included with Nightfall 6.4 is dated 01/29/06. When I run the EQ2MAP auto-updater, it asks if I want to overwrite the eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml with a newer version dated 02/24/06. I recall posts from months back in this forum saying not to let the EQ2MAP auto-updater overwrite this file. Is this still the case? Which version of the file should we be using?

Wonderful skin!

I am having a small problem however,
I installed v6.4 of you skin to a fresh directory, and when I login I see the EQ2 button (and some other icon list to its right) but sometime during the loading process they both dissappear. How can I make these windows appear?

There is a hotkey to open and close these, assuming that you have not changed it from the default it should be "alt-e" for Spell Effects and "alt-m" for Maintained Spells.

oh, and Alt + ` is default for the eq2 button, but beware if you have it set to be transparent unless you mouseover, ect as these effects will make it hard to find it, other than that hit F10 to cycle to the 'all windows opaque' setting and look for it by moving your windows out of the way where you saw it.

I noticed in the UI's folder that there is an infocenter folder. How do I actually access it? I know Profit UI had a button, but I don't see a similar button for Fetish?

They way Zonx put it in is like such, several of the ? buttons on various windows in the Fetish UI will open up the Info Center. I know for sure the ? button from the "Quest Journal" works, as its the one I use. Pretty sure when he put the InfoCenter in he listed all of the windows where the "?" would open the InfoCenter, either on a post somewhere in this thread or perhaps in the documentation for the UI.

I have not seen an "all-clear" from Zonx letting us know that we can overwrite this file. The easiest way to test this is let it over-write, then enter the game and test to see if the map is messed up or not. If it is messed up, then just /exit out of the game and replace the "eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml" file in your UI_Folder with the file from Fetish zip folder. Worse case, after running the eq2_map updater you can just re-extract all of the files from the latest Fetish zip folder.

Okay...I'm not sure if this has been posted...I just joined Everquest 2 and my friend who drug me there got me to try a UI. She reccomended Thor but I hate it compared to Your UI.

But I have a minor problem. And I'm not sure if it's been posted because I'm not sure what You call it lol.

When I first loaded the UI up, I was amazed at how cool it was on my assassin but I clicked on the bar with the numeric stats (hp, mana, coins, resists ect ect) on the number two which made the bar elongate to the far side of the screen...I freaked out and logged but now the bar doesn't even show up!!! And now I can't even bring the mouse over the topmost icons for buffs to see what they are. My other two characters don't have this problem because I have not clicked on any of the evil options of that bar hehe...

How can I get the bar to show back up?

Otherwise I have no complaints whatsoever.

Any help would be appreicated and I apologize if this was answered already...I'm just to green yet.

Peorth - That strip is typically refered to as the "Stat-Bar" its something that Zonx added in special to his UI. If you every "lose" if from your screen this is what you need to do:

* Hit "P" to bring up your Persona Window.
* Click the "P" button on the Person Window.
(On the Persona Window, there is a Title bar where is says "Persona" to the left of that there is a little squared, borded, P button.)

If your bar fails to open everytime you come into the game, then you need to read through all the posts on this thread and find one that gives details on what files you need to edit so that is loads standard (there are quite a few.)

In FetishNightfall.doc it gives a bit of info about how to reskin mods to work with the interface. It also says to upload the mod if you've reskinned it for Nightfall. I'm curious, where are these reskinned mods uploaded? I'm new to the mod, and may be missing something obvious.

There are several mods for FetishNightfall on the download page listed in the "Patches & Addons" table.

A couple alternate themes for the set are linked from the download description, though these are a bit out of date now. The intent was for other folks to add their own themes to the collection.

Finally... there are various mods scatered around this site that include a Fetish version as an addon to their mod. You'll have to hunt these down, don't really have a list.

I love the eq2 button now, with the different settings buttons under it. what is the file to edit it though? I'd like to change a few of the graphic settings the Raid performance button changes.

I'm going to take a guess that you just need to edit Milquetoast's infocenter... I think Zonx is pulling it directly so that you don't have to open up the infocenter to do it... look here

As Fait said you need to edit the profiles under the info center. the eq2 buttons link back to those profiles
