until yesterday it used to work fine...
Do i really have to go back to the plain ol' standard interface ?

I started getting the same. I play on the test server and this didnt happen untill yesterday when a couple files were updated. Since you did not mention the test server I presume you are on one of the live servers. Would definitly like to know how to fix this. :/

Fix for Test server players
Alright, since I took a look at the Test update I'll provide a fix for you Test server players (this works only on Test!).
The target windows should work like before although I didn't check whether all 30 target effects are displayed correctly.
Hotbars work like before.
With the Bags you can have some fun resizing them! (Setting the larger bag size via "frame only" can currently cause issues when saving the bag size - this is work in progress  ).

replacing the 4 files seems to "fix" the problem!
But now it's 4:15 am, i think it's time to go to bed ;-)

Thank you for making a wonderful UI set.
I want to optimize this UI-set to EQ2JE(Japanese version), and to distribute it with some more my favorite UI.
Because I am Japanese, and I want to make this wonderful UI known to a Japanese
friend.

Shigec, sure, go ahead, as long as you distribute it for free.  What kind of optimizations would you need to do ?. I have already made a number of optimizations for the French and German versions (most of those yet to be released). If you let me know what needs to be done for the Japanese version I can maybe integrate that as well.

This UI set is made very well, and trouble is hardly found.
but, there is a shifting part when displaying it in Japanese.
I will chiefly correct it.

I suppose you could either post a screenshot showing the problems or even better correct it yourself and post the fixed version here.
I may be able to integrate it like I did with the clock/time display for German/French servers (the "frame & titlebar" will shift it to the left).

Don't worry, I think I understand most of it, but feel free to let me know if you think I misunderstood something.
Unfortunately I do not speak Japanese, and I suppose you do not speak German, French or Spanish, so we need to use the English language.

The problem concerning the display (in the Japanese version).
On sequentially,
"Inspect Player", "Maintained Spells", "Clock", "Market"
examines it continuously.

Ok, thanks for the excellent explanantion!
However, the Inspect Player window is not modded in ProfitUI, so that is a /bug in the default UI.
I have already changed the maintained and market windows internally to allow for longer text and this will be included in the next release.
The clock window should already be compatible in the current release. Right click the clock -> window settings -> frame & titlebar.

Profit UI on "test" server
Hi gm9,
i took a little closer look at the patched UI parts you gave me. Resizing the hotbutton bars is indeed funny: all icons move to the very left end of the bar, i have to manually resize them.
More of a problem seems to be with the inventory bags: when i open the bags and the bankbags i am unable to take anything out of the bags unless i turn on frame (which leads to having full size boxes again).
Do you want me to further investigate on that or shall i just wait for the next generation of profitUI ?

by all means investigate, I cannot catch all the bugs by myself. Also it saves time, of which I do not have so much (haven't been on test since I posted those files). I thought I had bags and hotbars working, for example (and turning the bags full size changes nothing but their size. Strange bug...).
I'll take a look at all that again. Unfortunately I don't think I will have the time before the end of the week. So lots of time for you to find further bugs.

PS: Getting bug reports from EoF now as well regarding changes that are in beta but not on test. Seems like SOE likes to make life hard on UI modders.

I agreed to the problem of the Inspect Player window. And, the problem of the clock window was solved.

Notice to beta players
Regarding the problems on beta, download the Test server fix. If you have problems with the XP window, also extract _Fonts smooth (XP window).zip in your ProfitUI folder.
Regarding reports that the tooltips don't work consistently anymore I do not have a fix yet. I am not in beta so with the NDA in mind I only have very limited information available.

Testserver unusable again with ProfitUI
I think now they've done it... They messed it up again on the testserver!
As i logged in today i only had black hotbutton bars. Trying to press "1" just to check if any spell works threw me right back to the desktop.
I think we should let it settle a little bit until SOE decides which version they'll use... and probably give you some "final" infos.
In the meantime i am going to switch back to plain 'ol SOE standard interface.
I'll check in from time to time to see what happens.

According to the testserver notes, they went back to the old hotbars on test. Not sure of exact reason, but it you're still trying, use the same hotbars from the live servers.

ok, i gave it another shot after reading the update notes from Oct, 18...
I switched the updated files back to the "original" ProfitUI's and it seems to work at the moment
So relax and wait for the next spookie things to happen...

Hiya all, I recently got a wide screen monitor, so I had to use a higher resolution now(1920x1200) and I noticed when I loaded up this UI in that settings, there was *a lot* of unused space on the bottom, so I fixed that by placing some chat windows there. I attached the uisettings I use, I did change some stuff around, but ya can change em back. Here's a pic:

Hope it helps you guys out =)

Which xml file affects the AA page? In the beta it isnt displaying properly at all, so til its fixed Id like to remove it and use the default one.

For use the new AA Page you must add the follow lines in the "eq2ui_mainhud.xml"
<include>eq2ui_mainhud_achievements.xml</include>
and for use the Guildheraldy in Profit Ui add this :

I am wondering why chat windows get added randomly that are clones of other chat windows I had setup when I log in. And secondly I am wondering why there is no option to simply close a chat window? They are getting to be like rabbits on my screen. Please help. Thanks.

Missing Pet Window??
This is a real dumb question. Love the UI, got the EQ2 Map to work with it no problemo. Question I have is where's the pet window? Right now the only way I know what my pet health is at is to monitor in the implied target window. I d/l'd the Mook Pet UI to no avail...still have no pet window. What am I doing wrong?
