mysteroe, if I understand you correctly, window frames for pop-up windows don't show for you and the graphics on the top and bottom bars are not visible? Sure sounds like something went wrong during the installation. Make sure you extract the zip to your main Everquest 2 directory.
Pulsar, make sure you extract the zip to your main Everquest 2 directory (not the UI directory). If you want the chat window setup, use the respective default UI settings I provided, called "...-c&b.ini" or something. See my response to red1086 below on how to install it.
red1086, that was just Spiricore's way to say to make a backup. You can rename it like hiroprotagonist does or also just delete the file if you don't need a backup. You can even leave the file alone and once in game type /load_uisettings. This will let you select the appropriate ProfitUI default settings without having to delete files, and you will keep your chat channel numbering. Deleting/renaming the file first, however, is the "cleanest" method.
I just encountered a new bug last night. When I set my main chat window to group chat I can just hit enter to talk in group like one would expect. But once I type in like /ooc or /gu, the chat window defaut chat reverts to that so with it set to group chat, and I then type in GC (/GU), every time I hit enter from there on it is in GC now not Group.. Same for /OOC. I set the chat window to group and when I hit /ooc and type something, the chat window defaults to /ooc.
Anyone else seeing this? is there maybe a new setting I need to set? I have run Profit UI from v1.8d to this 2.2 and never had this problem before. Ii am running v2.3 now.
I would like the default chat to stay at what I set it to and not change to any other chat I may send..
I believe the did an update yesterday morning and I never had this problem prior to that so maybe something changed.. not sure..
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Drunder... this is the default behaviour of the client now... i have been dealing with this since (?i think?) lu20 or 21... it was an update from sony that started this behaviour.... i think that there should be an option in the options window somewhere to change this.. but i have not bothered to take the time to look for it.
Hmm well then why did this just start last night? I would think I would have noticed this right when it was first intorduced..
Anyway thanks for the reply.. I guess ill look for that option... I can't for the life of me figure out why something like that would even be needed but I guess they know what they are doing..
I've just eagerly downloaded 2.4 to try it out, but despite downloading the fix to the maintained window, I'm still unable to right click on it. I double checked, downloaded the fix file again and deleted the one in my UI folder first just to be absolutely sure I had replaced it, but still no joy.
It's not a major issue as I can cancel buffs via the effects window and I'm happy with the placing of it, but it would be nice if anyone else could confirm they're either having the same issue or have been able to get it working properly.
Otherwise great job as usual.
EDIT: Don't know if it's just me and something weird is going on, but I've noticed that since upgrading to 2.4 I'm also unable to right click the player window.

I have seen yesterday when installing the UI on another computer that the fonts looked different than on my computer, like a narrow version of the font. On the startbutton I saw that the percentages were cut off at the right.
Screenshot from my computer using 1280*1024, smooth fonts enabled, small fonts disabled, Nvidia graphics card is below. This is how it should look like.
The computer were it didn't look right was 1280*960, same font settings, but had an ATI card. I don't have a screenshot right now.
EDIT: Screenshot now added.
Could I please have feedback on whether anyone has issues with the text being placed/displayed incorrectly on the startbutton (or other windows)? I know that setting both smooth fonts + small fonts doesn't work (unfortunately Droiyan7's fix didn't work for me), but this is not the issue here.
Madoron, I haven't forgotten about your problems with the chat window (which I can't reproduce at all), but I have zero time at the moment for figuring out what's wrong. I'll think of something once I get to it.
I love the UI. On the newest versions I have not been able to move the "self=>target=>assist" bar anymore. I love the UI, but move and rearrange a lot of stuff for my class. Is there a simple way that I can move this bar? It no longer lets you right click it.
So my feedback would be to not take out the ability to move, and then again I may just not know how to go about moveing it.
Few days ago I posted about epic target classify issue.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
My guild MA complain to me that ProfitUI's target windows is inconvenient to classify epic target.
I think display epic flag on target windows will be help.(plz, see the edited screenshot)
Droiyan7, I like your edited screenshots, helps to visualize things. I was thinking (and implemented so far) along these lines:
Obviously still needs some adjusting of the positions of the elements. This implementation fits in the current size of the target window and debuffs stay where they are. Implied target window would be the same, only with the raid flag to the left. What do you think?
Venger & DDH|Matrix, the right click menues are provided by SOE only for specific windows. The one you are talking about is only provided for the player window (see response by RainQueen96). As you will recall, the default UI doesn't even list yourself in the group window. Nothing I can do about this, sorry. And DDH|Matrix, the latest version is 2.4.1 and there is no hotfix for this version (see my sig for a download link).
EDITED to add: I can of course add the option to target yourself if you click yourself in the group window.
Xterm, the issue with the chat window being invisble at startup seems to be on SOEs side. However, the chat should still be there once you hit /. Maybe you disabled the "loot" chat messages? In the default .ini I provide this shows in the "Char" tab.
labrat & Pixi, could you one of you please post a screenshot of the issue you have with the tradeskill window? Obviously everything looks fine on my machine (see screenshot on main thread). These placement issues some of you have really elude me...
Purg, may I refer you to Pixi's excellent answer to the same question a few posts above you (#491)?

I've still got very few free time atm but hopes of it getting better. It appears LU24 will require a big update for the changed market window and some other windows. I hope to get it out on time. There will be no new release before that.
I noticed that for PvP there's apparently an immunity bar which was not yet modded. I've quickly brought this in line with the ProfitUI theme, although I coloured it red to fit the topic:
In case someone wants to test this (I don't play on a PvP server), I attach it below. Let me know if it works.
There's nothing wrong, as such, with the tradeskill window. Just that the name of the item you're making sometimes covers the progress bars. I always prefered the long progress bars one under the other like so:

Downloaded it, will check if it works properly as soon as server is up.
PS. Absolutely LOVE the fact that Profit's work is continued

It looks good
But, how about add separate LVL indicator.
DragowulfUI's Target Windows have separate LVL indicator and show target LVL even Anonymous and/or Roleplaying.
I think opposite side to raid flag(left upper corner to target and right upper corner to implied) is proper.

Looks real nice. But have a question gm9. See where it says Level 25 Epicx2 and the fellas name. Its that shaded text. I'd recomend taking those font styles out and replacing them with the easier to see and easier on the eys highspeed font. Think thats the font. Not the XP font. I'd be more than happy to help you do that too. Just tell me what version to do it on. Should be real simple. Oh and is there a way to change the font that shows up in the chat window?
well hello there. I started playing everquest 2 about 3 days ago and installed this ui. Its realy great but 1 thing bugs me, Cause im a Mystic i sometimes need to cancel concentration for other buffs but it doesnt let me. Cant rightclick on active buff list or on concentration itself. Am i missing something or is there another trick for canceling concentration ?
I got a small problem. The implied target buffs are what looks like one row too low on the screen. I have looked at the code for the implied target window and it looks exactly the same as the other, but as you can see in the screeen shot its not.
Any sugestions? I have already downloaded and am using the newest version.
Having an issue where the EXP part of the main window is seemingly over lapping and redrawing so as to be very difficult to read. Is this a common problem? Ive expanded and shrunk said window but its def something I can remedy. Thx
