I installed the new one lastnight and all the spell and dertermantal effects icons don't show up. I reupdated profitui today and got the icons back then recopyed the files into the profitui folder and the icons where gone again. updated profit again and then copyied all but the eq2ui_custom.xml and the icons are there. is there something wong with that file?

Interesting. I am not seeing that in my installation or others I know that are using it. Anyone else?

I changed the format of the eq2ui_custom.xml a while ago, if you missed that in EliteUI then the custom settings would not be loaded which would result in a loss of the icons (and of a bunch of other stuff). You might not be seeing it yourself if you do not have a "clean" install because you might still have the old files which are no longer used in the current ProfitUI (e.g. the MiscSettings.txt file).

forgive me if I missed any mention of this but...

I noticed that in the eq2ui_custom.xml file it lists...
<include>Custom/eq2ui_custom_EffectsPotions.xml</include>

And yet I cannot find this file in the UI's root directory. Is this something that's coming soon and if so what is it exactly? Or possibly something that used to be here? Just curious and wanted to make sure something wasn't missing that should be there.

Sorry I missed this. It was a leftover piece from a past compilation piece. It will be removed with the next version release. Thanks for pointing it out to me =]

It mentions to load up the Elite UI layout, to prevent any missing windows and such, but Elite UI Layout is not one of the options given to me.

No popup showed up, and EliteUI is not given to me as an option.

what am i supposed to do there? the stuff i need to make is different with every rush order i get, and i have multiple toons i do the rush orders on, please let me know

Ok prolly a stupid question, but here goes. Skipping the EQ2X patcher and just running Everquest2.exe from the EQIIX folder brings up the log on window. In the left side, you type in Username, Password, Character, and Server, and on the right, a window that says: CHARACTERonSERVER (USER). Apparently I should be able to choose my login account on the right side, but there aren't any choices listed there. How can I edit that to include all my accounts and characters?

Splashed across the whole thing is PROFIT UI ENABLED.

Look for a file named _profitui_logindata.txt in your ui directory. Edit it to add your character info and then you will be able to switch characters by clicking there name.

Hi Val! This is my first time using a UI and have nothing but great things to say about your work! Two questions which I could not locate in the Support Thread. First, how do I bring up the Research Assistant? When I press K and bring up the spell journal, the RA is not tabbed in there. Secondly, how do I run a parse and copy it to group chat? Thanks!

Where does the Broker Window come from in your Compliation? Reason I ask, I am on a FTP Silver account, and I use Broker Credits to purchase the ability to sell on the Broker. I am told that the default includes a number in the right corner that has a tally of sorts that would let me know how many credits I have remaining. Anyway to get this included would be great.

The broker window is from ProfitUI. If you have the auto-updater running as I recommend, just run it and update it. I am not sure if the Profit window has what you are requesting though. When I have more time on my hands I'll take a look at it and recompile a new release to take care of that, the knowledge book, and some other things.

As stated in an above post, remove the eq2ui_mainhud_knowledge.xml from your UI folder and that will fix your research assistant issue.

As far as parsing, I am assuming you are using ACT (Advanced Combat Tracker)? you simply do a CTRL-V (paste) into your channel of choice to post your parse.

Hope that fixes things for you.

The latest game update affected the Persona window rendering it "broken".

The Persona window EliteUI uses is made by DrumsUI and he has released an updated version. The link for it is here.

I'll be putting out a full release with some additional adds to the compilation soon.

I am having trouble seeing any Custom Raid buttons in my raid or group windows.
This is a pretty good feature so I'm assuming you didn't leave them out.
What have I done wrong to lose them?

Try expanding the raid window size and make sure they are not in horizontal setup and just off to the side. Aside from that, recopy in all my the compilation to make certain you did not miss something.
