where do I download eXtremeUI at?
I went to the completed sets and it said I do not have access and I tried to use the search feature.

Was thinking about this and since it hasnt been done before I'm sure it would be in high demand. But what about adding a buy 20 or buy all button to the broker window? If it's even doable I'd be willing to put the time in to figure it out if enough people wanted this feature. Will probably have to talk with the sony dev's to get them to change some stuff to allow for this but I dont see it harming game with exploits or anything.

Not possible atm, that would have to be coded into the game before such a nifty button was added. Unless you can figure out a way to make it auto select and press buy after pressing the buy all button.

reference in eq2.ini is to extreme_test people gonna start spamming about not working so figured id post this. After installing everything open up the eq2.ini file you coppied to the main everquest directory in notepad and change the part that says eXtreme_test to eXtreme or just use this one that I already changed for you.

The reason you don’t see it at the moment is because an admin has to approve the update. Every update has to be approved by an admin to insure there isn’t a virus or something of that nature included in the files.



You all should add eXtremeUI to your favorites on this website not on your browser. If you add this you to it, it will notify you when you come to the site that the UI has been updated and if the update is still pending. It will also help move eXtreme up the list on the most favorites list =).

i'm kind of dumb and was wondering if you could provide a more detailed explanation on how to actually install this, like an "installation for dummies" type thread. i have done everything that you said to do and still cannot get this UI to work. any help from someone that knows would be greatly appreciated. thank you =)

Ok, when you get the file downloaded. Extract all the files from the eXtremeUI_Vx.xx.x into the directory in your everquest directory called UI if you used the default install its C:\Programe Files\EverQuest2\UI. once that is done you path should look somthing like C:\Programe Files\EverQuest2\UI\eXtreme\<all the ui files>. DO NOT EXTRACT THE FILE INTO C:\Programe Files\EverQuest2\UI\eXtreme.

When that part is done go to C:\Programe Files\EverQuest2\UI\eXtreme\copy_and_paste_these_files_to_eq2_main_folder and copy the files that fit your setup. rename the eq2ui_settings file to what ever toon your useing and rename the (xxxx x xxxx)eq2ui.ini file to eq2ui.ini. these two files should now be in C:\Programe Files\EverQuest2.

Now close out of windows explorer or what ever file you are using and start everquest2.

I'm seeing the same instuctions with a picture...hehehe

i was wondering on the setting files for res and char files for the main eq2 dir.

ok say my char name is slyy and sever is nek. should i rename the file
(1200 x XXXX Tabs)server_character_eq2_uisettings.ini
to
(1200 x XXXX Tabs)nek_slyy_eq2_uisettings.ini
or
nek_slyy_eq2_uisettings.ini

and do i make a file per char sence i do have all my char slots filled?

what is the tabs or no taps option? whats the differance



do i rename these new files?? if so to what?

i been running this enterface with out doing anything but copying those files stright to the dir and has ran fine but is makeing me think i might be missing out on something.

i got brave and tried the extreme notes addon. and my computer crapped its self after the failed atempt. More then likely i just did something wrong on the install but damn i had to reboot into safe mode and kill all the files before i could restart window normally. just a friendly warning to those who are like me and not an expert on installing these things =)..if you haven;t already noticed i'm a not the most intellegent when it comes to these things so please make step by step instuction as if you wanted a child to install these things

nek_slyy_eq2_uisettings.ini is the correct name and yes make one for each character.
eq2.ini would be the correct name for this file.

As for map problem i might be able to help you here not sure what your problem is but when you do your updating for eq2maps if it overwrites the eq2_mainhud_map.xml it will cause problems. Be sure to set it to not update this file in options or overwrite it with the eq2_mainhud_map.xml included in this download. as for certain problems with the map that this doesn't fix the author is Zonx. He is here on the boards. You can post a message in the fetish support page or PM him for help.
If your having problems when you shrink it. You most likely overwrote the file when you ran the eq2map patcher. Just replace it and it should be working again.

OK i just founf a guhe bug, yesterday i was at Zek, and i got a "choose items for reward" and the accept button would not appera, and i just lost a really useful book, and a really good weappon that i could use, so please try to fix that before someone else gets the same thing...

You shouldnt have LOST anything. My friend has the same thing and the quest selection has stayed up for 2 days of him logging into game. If its completely disappeared its one thing but at least in my friends case the ability to select it is staying with the character.

Also if its still there and its that great of an issue delete the eq2ui.ini...go in with default and select your quest item and then reload the UI.

The author knows about the problem and I'm sure hes working to fix it.

This WILL be fixed in the next update. I have no clue as to why some are not getting the scroll bar to scroll through the selections.

If you can't find eXtreme in the download section it is because an admin has not yet aproved the update. Check back later and I am sure it will be ready for you to down load.

I see that you have addressed the issues I brought up, thanks I'll post the screenshot anyway. You can see the expanded effects window covering part of the weight text from the inventory. Also, I was using Mackgee's 'fix' for the squished exp, but it is still partly cutoff (can't wait to try 1.12.6 tonight).

Another issue I noticed is that the Quest window and Effects window are in front of chat bubbles (e.g. when I was listening to the Harclave story. I should have screencapped it). The Inventory window, however, is behind the chat bubble (as it should be).
Basically what happens is the Quest window and the Effects window block out part of the chat bubble (you can turn your character or look up to get the chat bubble down into the center of your screen though.


Note: I am using OCD's target/implied target windows, HO window, and tracking window.
I have also modified the guildlogo.dds (that was fun trying to figure that out).

Also note that I have 2 rows of hotkeys along with the maintained spells bar (which leaves a small gap on either side, but I can live with it).

Think u going to need to tab out chat window... especially since there is only one in the 1024 reso. I'd say at least 3 tabs one for spam stuff one for chat stuff and one for combat stuff.

Ok slight problem with the map interface. I think it just might be me though. I had the EQ2map pack in the team projects downloaded when i loaded in the ui. This sometimes bugs out the mapping sytem and blacks the entire thing out. I tried unninstalling the eq2map pack but no luck.

Although the map seems to work in zones like Ant and all the cities. The rest of the zones i used to have maps for (eg. the down below) all have a map tab and even waypoints i can click to waypoint to, but the map is totally black. Any ideas?

I used extremeUI and its cool, but i noticed a few things. The bottom chat bar is covered by the health/pp window, the group health window and the cast time window. The top window has a time of day clock on top of it and it covers up the quest helper. THe group window also covers up 2 of my hotbars... (and i have tried moving the windows that sre in the way and nothing will budge )

If thereis any ways to fix any of this, or if the UI doesnt have the problems on a different rez solution or something pls tell me so i can use it (it looks really great, thanks for the hard work on making it )

[Also, i did what the .doc said, i renamed the background i liked to perdiction.dds and its still purple instead of orange, is there somewhere i need to put the file after i rename it?]

Looks like you are running the game in 1024x768 I don't think there is an ini for that resolution in the 1.12.6 version but landiin is working on it. Will probably be in 1.12.7 Until he finishes up with it you will have to move them to where you want by unlocking all windows in options (Alt-0) / User interface / Game Windows / Unlock all windows / Unlock then click accept and you can move the windows wherever you like. As for the Perdigraphics.dds put that in the eXtreme / images folder

This ui is great,can you work on the harvesting info window would like it to be resizable as it is smooshed info is overlapping and some text is cut off on the bottom,plus there is no X to close the window or am I missing a key short cut?
