Hey Laff or someone else that may have the file I need.

I really enjoyed the zipped files that you had with all the perdigraphics in it. I changed them quite often. I usually stuck with the blue one that you had.

Well I noticed that you don't have that up for download anymore. Is there anyway you can either send me that file or post it up for download again.

Hey, downloaded the updated laffv8 zip, this is the first UI i have tried dloading for eq2. I used ui's in wow all the time. Anyway, i followed the directions, pasted the included .ini, renamed the server_character file, placed everything where it needed to be, but when i go into the game, the UI was not together, it was all pieced out, and missing a piece it looked like here and there as well. Like I said, i followed the directions on the readme, and thats what happened. I am using an HP Pavillion Lap Top that runs the game just fine, no issues, but a 15" monitor, wasn't sure if that was the issue, as far as viewing size and resolution. Anyway, any replies would be greatly appreciated. Just got this game and a friend of mine uses this UI and it looks incredible. Thanks.

Its not as easy as it sounds to put a char settings file together as they work well for 90% of peeps and not the random 10% sorry.... But the positions of the windows should still be as near damn it .. maybe you will have to shrink the 2 chat windows down in width a bit and adjust the positions on some other windows slightly .... Also the size of the widescreen letterbox can and will bork the position of some windows also... But thats still just a case of repositioning them...

The experiance numbers consist of 5 parts if you like, that all need to overlap slightly to "cut off" that 1st digit.. for it to display the correct value.... You must be using a font that is not compatible with that as for it to work / look right it is font sensitive..

Sorry not much I can realy do about either issue here

First off a HUGE thank you for your work.. I've been loving this mod!

if I were to make one request it would be the compass. As much as I hate to admit I do use Coordinates to find things from time to time... simply having them on Mousover if not permantley displayed would be a godsend, and prefer the green/red indicators some of the other compases are using. Its the only piece of your UI I am not using... but I would sure like too!

just noticed something

the panel under persona that lists the languages spoken needs to scroll, and mine doesn't....

I may have broken something but just in case I thgt I would mention it

If you have "eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml" file in the LAFFSV8 folder then please delete it as I dont have a modded version of that window atm.. If the file is not there then it is a bug with the default window that you are seeing..

I can't find the "eq2.ini" file in your download. I'm a real dummy when it comes to things like this. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your prompt reply. After downloading to my desktop and unzipping, I get another folder called Laffsv8 3-2. Inside of that folder is another folder called Laffs_alt_perdition_Bottom_TyeJae.

Inside of that folder I have the following:
1) Alt windows 900x800 JPEG Image
2) eq2 (configuration settings 1kb)
3) eq2ui custompreset
4) READ ME !!
5) servername charactername eq2 us settings (I have 3 of these, one of which I labled "oasis_laand_eq2_uisettings.ini" but have not yet moved it to it's proper destination)
6) blackburrow menia eq2uiset...
7) eq2ui custompreset
8) eq2ui mainhud target
9) Windows

I simply can't find that "eq2.ini" file. <sob> What in the world am I doing wrong? Thanks,

may need to alter the view command in windows as i believe ini files are treated as system files and may well be hidden by default.....

Thats probably it ... folder options, view hidden system files and folders also uncheck the box that says hide file extentions for known file types.

Im in need of your help again i have the TabletsII Shutdown window but all i see is black when i use the camp section but if i find the buttons with the mouse it works just cant see anything can you please help

You will need to place the .dds image file that the tablets 2 mod refers to into the images folder that is contained in the Laffsv8 folder.

Anyother sort of ref to a graphics file then? .tga maybe?

Failing that there must be a ref to a custom .xml style then you would have to find that file and place it in laffs folder then do an include statement in the mainhud file.

I DL your new UI and greatly appreciate effort I have found a bug in it and cannot find answer as to how to correct this. Problem is when I mouse over spell icons I get double text in box. I have tried everything including derleting all character UI settings and still have double text..

Would send screenshot but have no clue how to do this on this site..

I installed the newest version of your UI. I am still haveing the same problem as the picture above. Is there a fix for this, or something that I can restore to default to eliminate this. I love this UI, but the cut off words are really distracting. Thanks

Delete the entire directory and copy the new one. It works

Your UI looks great, but I have a major problem.

I load everything in correctly as your readme file states.

But when I start up the game, the windows are all jumbled over the loading screen and it isn't set up when my character fully loads. Looks like some windows are actually missing!

I don't know how to fix since these UIs are always confusing to me hehe.
